Vehicle Detail
This is a 17,000 mile one owner 93 GSPD. The condition of this bike is fantastic. It runs like a new GS or better. The frame paint and rear rack paint look virtually new. Same with the handlebars, controls, etc. There is no rust on the wheels or spokes. The paint has a few small touch ups that you may or not be able to see in the photos of the tank. There is also one on the front fender that you should be able to see in the pic. The bike has always been garaged and it shows. In the last thousand miles the bike received a new complete clutch assembly and boots and the splines were greased. A new Omega Diode board was also installed. In the last 100 miles, new tires(Avon Gripsters), and all fluids as well as the valves were adjusted and the heads re-torqued. Two alterations to the bike, both for the better in my opinion. #1 - Dellorto carbs ( 40MM pumpers) - Better response, better tuning, and no more bruised shins! I like Bings but these are really a big improvement.#2 - Oil cooler moved from right side crash bar to behind and above front wheel. See pic. Much safer location.Other than that, the bike is all stock. Comes with the purple seat and the dual seat( both seats look and feel new).Bike also comes with a Parabellum windshield The GSPD in 1993 had 313 come to the US. Of those, I figure at least 60% were Red/white. Velvet Purple gravel and Turqouise gravel were the other 2 colors probably in close to equal #'s produced. So maybe 50 or 60 purple ever came here as it was a one year color. It is a very unique color that really looks good in person. You won't see another very often! The neutral switch does not leak oil nor does the pan gasket but I put a new one on anyway. Until yesterday it did have weeping from the push rod tube seals. Yesterday I finished putting in all new pushrod tube seals as well as a new oil pan gasket. I then took it for a ride (~20 miles) and let it sit for overnight. I checked it and all is as dry as a bone. I changed some of the pics adding some of my work from the last two days. I was meticulous in doing it correctly and had help from a couple of experts. I have owned over 30 airheads in my life and this bike is the cleanest, newest looking one I have ever owned. It is in amazing condition and rides fantastic. I won't be upset if it doesn't sell... :) Good luck bidding. You won’t be disappointed. Please check my seller feedback. Mike ******Sorry but ebay won't allow me to add or change pics.
