Describing this truck takes alot, because it has been almost completely redone.(See Description) More than $30,000 done in restorations about 2 months ago on this 1972 Blazer. 65,000 miles on truck but the engine only has 5500 since the stroker motor was put in. Also only 500 miles since all the restoration described below. My loss is your BIG TIME Gain.Light Green Custom Metallic with white top, and matching black and green interior with 4 inch lift.Summary: This is not the typical blazer that has some nice new parts thrown on but still suffers from the 1972 driving feel. Yes, you know what I’m talking about, they lift the truck and then leave the old world rag joint, barely acceptable steering box and less than comforting brakes are still on most of the other restored projects.Not this one. Yes it has all been redone for awesome looks as well, but the driving gear has been dramatically upgraded for drivability. This is a truck you can start without issue, put on the AC and be cool and feel confident when you are driving with the steering and the brakes.With all that however this truck has not gone off road. This truck now looks very well, better than most. With chassis improvements done it drives excellent, probably as good as a new 1972 blazer thats been lifted. Chassis from below is very clean, no rust on rocker panels etc. Some mild surface rust in a few spots on chassis.Chassis and Engine Mods. All new ‘Rancho’ high performance shocks and Rancho steering stabilizer. Completely new tie rods, ball joints and all front suspension joints replaced with new bushings New Universal Joints All new rear axle seals New Summit racing Steering box, this is the best you can get for this truck New Summit ‘Power Master’ master torque starter. Replaced Rag joint with a real steering shaft universal joint ---. Hydro boost on the brakes for awesome stopping power. All four wheels have new brakes changed and disks drums turned and all set to go. Brand new wheels and tires. Front disk brakes MSD ignition 383 ‘stroker’ motor with ‘Hedman’ headers and low mileage of about 5500 miles New Starter (American made) New Alternator (American made.) New Crankshaft Pulley Engine completely retuned for a nice idle and great starting. Engine has been dressed with some nice parts.Comfort and Convenience All new aftermarket Air Conditioning by “Vintage AC” one of the best in the business. Again best you can get for this truck. The AC works through factory style dash outlets that look factory. To insure a cool cabin the floor board was insulated with ‘Dyamat’ as well as the ‘Dyamat’ spray Insulator on the Removable roof. Roof was pulled and fully redone, resealed and repainted and all seals changed to reduce sound. All seals for doors and back hatch etc. were changed to reduce sound and prevent leaks. Rear hatch also redone with a new latch mechanism. Interior is all new: here are a few details All windows tinted. All new ‘Dakota’ blue-black carbon fiber gauges that simulate factory but are digital, awesome look. New ‘Panasonic’ head set and new speakers, with CD and Blue Tooth. All new seats, All new Carpeting, with insulation, front rear, back and upsides in the back. Custom floor mats New Sun visors, new seatbelts, new door panels, Newly refurbished ‘Vintage Center Console with cup holder. All interior was repainted to match exterior in light green to match exterior accented by new black door panels and carpeted sides in the back compartment. New Dash pad All the seals on the truck were changed. All doors, removable top, rear gate, hood etc. All new polished stainless steel steering column, steering wheel and blinkers. All American made, not one of those cheap Chinese knock offs. Custom pedals that allow adjustment and give more room for big drivers. Seat relocated back for additional clearance for big drivers. All new handles for doors and windows. All window reworked for smooth operation with many new parts. All new Alarm system, twin siren. Power Door Locks New Horn installed and working. Most of the wiring under the dash and throughout the truck was changed during AC, New Radio, LED light installation and horn installation.Additional Cosmetic work. The light green custom metallic paint is less than one year old. Like the original but pops more. It was fully polished and coated with Polymeric coating. All trim was changed, all new. Including all new front grill Outside side steps installed (Black) All taillights and marker lights are LED. All new Headlights- Halogen. New shorty antenna to go with new headset and sound system.
