OUR 450SL LOOKS GOOD INSIDE AND OUT. THE PAINT IS NICE AND GLOSSY ALL AROUND THE CAR AND THE HARDTOP, BUT THERE IS CLEAR-COAT PEEL ON THE TOP SURFACES OF THE HOOD AND FENDERS (SEE PICS BELOW). THE BODY IS NICE AND STRAIGHT WITH NO RUST. THE CHROME LOOKS GOOD ALL AROUND THIS CAR.
THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS MOSTLY CLEAN AND SOLID, BUT THERE ARE A COUPLE RUST HOLES IN THE FLOOR BOARDS (SEE PICS BELOW).

THE 4.5L-V8 ENGINE FIRES RIGHT UP AND RUNS GOOD AT IDLE, BUT RUNS A LITTLE ROUGH UPON ACCELERATION. THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WORKS GREAT. THERE IS A SMALL FUEL LEAK SOMEWHERE (WE HAVE NOT FOUND THE SOURCE, BUT YOU CAN SMELL GAS A LITTLE WHEN DRIVING).

ELECTRONICALLY EVERYTHING WORKS EXCEPT FOR THE POWER ANTENNA (SEE PIC BELOW) AND THE A/C BLOWER (DOES NOT TURN ON). WE CANNOT CHECK THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE A/C BECAUSE OF THE FAULTY BLOWER.
THIS MERCEDES WILL NOT PASS OUR VA STATE INSPECTION AS IT IS DUE TO A RUST HOLE IN THE PASSENGER FLOORBOARD AND THE FUEL LEAK. WE HAVE NOT CHECKED THE CAR OUT FOR ANY OTHER NEED REPAIRS TO PASS STATE INSPECTION. THE CAR WILL BE SOLD WITH A "REJECTION" STICKER.
