Vehicle Detail
First things first I’ve never had a negative feedback and I don’t plan on ever getting one. I’m an honest seller and I want no surprises on your end or mine. I tend to over describe so please read the whole description , but don’t hesitate to ask any question. Now on to the truck I bought this truck to use as a back up in my scrap iron business, but it’s way too nice to beat up that way. I got the truck from a small town near here where it has lived since 1999. It appears to be original miles, but I HAVE NO DOCUMENTATION for proof. The wear on the pedals and the overall condition make a strong argument for original miles. When I picked up the truck, there were no keys, so I replaced the tumbler. While doing that, the horn spring shot out into the field and I haven’t come up with another one. THE HORN DOESN’T WORK. Also there are NO DOOR KEYS When I got it home, I replaced the leaking radiator with a like new one from my 78 crew cab project. I also changed the oil and gave it a tune up, new plugs, wires, and a new accel blueprint hei distributor. The truck runs and drives really good. I cleaned up some chrome wheels and tires off one of my parts trucks. They look good from a distance, but have some rusty areas that wouldn’t clean up. The worst ones are on the passenger side, please see the pics. The front fenders and door tops and some of the white were repainted at one time, the rest is original paint. I buffed out the bed and hood and it came out pretty good. There are some thin spots and some patina on the roof. I get a lot of looks with this truck. The only rust is the small spot on the drivers door, please see pic. Underneath is just surface rust, but very solid. The pictures make the truck look really good. It looks good in person too, but I think it looks better in the pictures. The picture of the door bottom will show you that I didn’t buff out under the lower trim. The tailgate didn’t want to shine up very good either. It has an older spray in bedliner that is coming off on the drivers wheelwell and a couple spots on the front bed floor The drivers dually fender is good, but the passenger one is cracked in spots, again, see pics. Interior is good with the exception of the cracked dash pad and passenger arm rest. I glued up the sagging headliner, but its not perfect and I have no idea how long it will last. Original carpet in good shape, has rubber mat over it. No tears in the seat. I have more interior pics, but didn't have room to put them in the ad Everything works except the ac, needs a compressor and the horn, even the dome light and am radio works. Tilt column is tight. This is a nice, clean, tight old truck. BUT it’s still an old truck so please ask any questions before bidding. Winner pays $500 deposit through paypal within 24 hours. Balance is due in 7 days by certified check or cash in hand. Funds will be verified and cleared before truck leaves. 0 or negative feedback must contact me prior to bidding or bid will be cancelled. Thanks and Good Luck! On Oct-01-14 at 09:07:18 PDT, seller added the following information: There is a very faint valve train tick, like a lifter. it is very quiet, some people may not notice. I had this in my original ad , but it timed out and I forgot to get it in there on round 2. Again, this truck runs and drives very good, I'm just really picky and don't want any surprises for you or me. Also, I forgot to mention the truck originally came with one gas tank. An aftermarket one was installed with the fill tube inside the drivers rear fender. This one operates with an old school manual valve. I have not used it, I don't know the condition of the fuel, if any, inside and I don't know if the gauge works when using this tank. I wont end the auction early Keep the questions coming Jim
