Up for auction is a 1957 thunderbird. I purchased this car from an estate. I will give you the best discription I can. I had a thunderbird expert look at this car and fill me in on what to look for. The previous owners daughter said her father bought it in the eighties. Looks to have had a frame on restoration. The bottom of the car is very solid as you can see in the pictures. The car is a 312 stick with overdrive. It looks to be converted to an electric overdrive. There is a picture of the cable operated overdrive tail I found in the garage. The overdrive cable is still in tact. The car needs body and paint. The left side is the worst with scratches. It was in a very small garage and the left side was open to traffic? Everything in the car seems to work including the clock. The car runs and drives well. The carb is going to need to be rebuilt. I believe it to be the correct carb. The number is visible in the pictures. Looks as if the engine compartment was done to spec. at one time. All looks to be correct. I included pictures where there is rust popping through from the previous restoration. Interior is all ther in fair condition. The top is the same. Once again I will say this car is a great starter car. All seems to be correct but the radio and the shifter. Air ducts under fenders are all in tact. Please look at the pictures close. I tried to get every thing important. Great starter thunderbird priced right.
