Vehicle Detail
Ok let me first start off by saying i know my rating is zero right now , because i changed my account due to hacks..My original name was EARL0788 and i have 100 percent positive feedback selling classic cars and trucks etc. Please feel free to look it up.. I really do not like the idea of selling this car but i have no where to keep it this winter because my 57's restoration is done and i am about to bring it home....This 56 has been a great car, we have had a ton of fun in it and it has just been a really good reliable ride. There's No other feeling like cruising in a tri 5 Chevrolet , at least to me there isn't and i have owned many other cars chevelles , camaro (still have ) , gto's etc..The 50's cars had soo much room in them , and the style with all the chrome / bright work is on another level , really..Throw on your favorite oldie tunes and hit the road just like they were meant to be..... Its a 1956 chevrolet 210 , 2 door sedan , v8 automatic and it is mostly all original.... 265ci v8 with a powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission..the body is in good shape , has few rock chips here & there but still looks great.. It is India Ivory with Tropical Turquoise , it has had some paint work in the past no doubt about it but i doubt it has ever been fully restored..Car is nice and solid..The original fender skirts are in the trunk and are in great shape too...The interior is all original and actually not in bad shape for being never touched, the bottom of the front seat is ripped that's why i have a cover over it but other wise the inside is alright , headliner is nice , rear seat is nice , all the windows go up and down easily , everything on the dash works like it should..Put a new instrument cluster in the car because the original one was having some issues , it comes with the car...Has a radio in the glove box and a hidden antennae under the dash , heater works great, wipers work good , ..interior has almost zero rattles going down the road , its a pretty tight old car...The motor is the original motor and runs like a watch , one bump of the key and it starts right up and runs excellent!! It burns no oil , makes no funny noises , you cant hear this motor run literally ...Only thing changed under the hood is the generator has been changed to an alternator , otherwise its exactly how it came from the factory...2 speed powerglide transmission works perfect too , no issues what so ever...I thought it would be horrible on the highway but it actually wasn't all that bad doing 65mph or so ....Original wheels on the car , just bought the coker white walls this past summer and they are like new still , factory spare and jack in the trunk as well , car still has the 4 way drums but they work excellent and dont pull to the side when used..All the factory trim is there and can definitely be cleaned (polished ) up , all the chrome is there and is original so its not perfect by any means but great for re-chroming or just drive the car for while....Like i said it's a great driver that don't cost you a ton to own...its sips the gas for a v8 and always get attention any where we go with it....it has great road manners and is just a pleasure to cruise with..We honestly had more fun with this car then most of our others because we were not afraid to jump in it and go for a long ride , stay the weekend somewhere and just hang out at the beach with it...You can come here and drive this car home anywhere , im pretty confident in it...We took the car 400 miles last weekned to a car show in lake george Ny and had a great time..I will change the oil and filter before the car is picked up.......Here is your chance to own your dream tri 5 Chevy at a reasonable price , you can pick away at the car as you drive and ENJOY it .... The car is being sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied...It is a classic car so it will need routine maintenance and fixing , it has general wear & tear from being 58 yrs old ...Please make sure you are satisfied as to the condition of the vehicle BEFORE you bid , you are not bidding on a chance to come look and negotiate , you are bidding to own the car for the auction amount.. I have tried to be as honest about the car as i can be , but i am human and might miss small things , i assure you nothing big has been missed...I really need to sell the car , this is a binding contract between you (bidder) and me (seller ).My other car is finished i need to make room...If you need towing withing a 500 mile radius from 01201 i can get you a pretty good deal, i have other shippers we have dealt with in the past also if you need any recommendations ..I will try to assist any way possible on my end and make myself available for the shippers if you choose to go that route..I will make sure car gets on trailer safe and sound... Pick up in person is always an option.....If you have any other questions please feel free to call me at 413-347- two six 88 , but not after 9pm eastern please..... Thanks and happy bidding On Sep-19-14 at 04:16:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the interest guys..My phone and email haven't stopped , glad to see the ol girl will be going to a new home...Forgot to mention in the ad that the car has a bunch of new front end parts from this past summer..Ball joints, tie rod etc..Car has a radio delete plate...I just wanted to clarify a few things so there is no misunderstanding ..I really want the sale to go smooth and i want both of us to be happy ....The car is a 56 , so i'm sure it has some bondo in it and has a few small bubbles..Overall the car present's really well for what it is..It's a 1956 Chevrolet , its an american icon..I didn't build the car or paint it myself so i really cant tell you what is under the paint.I own a resto shop and i thought the car was a fair deal myself if that means anything to you...I bought the car from an older gentleman who has a bunch of really high end cars and show trucks ..He drove this car around here and there , to the golf course etc , like we did .His original plan was to make a Gasser out of it but said he didn't have the heart to cut up such an original car..It is Not a show car , it is a nice driver car ( survivor) that has its amount of flaws body wise..It looks like a show car in the pics and it does look nice in person but in person you can pick up the small things.. Also i appreciate the offers , but to be fair to the other bidders , i have to let the auction run it's course..Im going to lower the buy it now to help move things along..I really don't want this car to sit outside for the winter.. I thought for sure i would find a place to keep it before winter rolled around , but at last my 57 chevrolet's restoration is just about finished..I thought about getting a storage unit , then finally realized that a fourth classic car is just too much for me at the moment....That's all there really is to it.. Thanks again !!!!
