1978 Honda XL-350 "Dual Sport" 1,994 original miles ! With the ride and feel of a new machine, it is hard to believe it is thirty six years old... This motorcycle spent its life in a heated garage when not being ridden. There is no evidence it was ever used off paved roads, laid on its side, or damaged in any way. Overall condition is excellent, but it has acquired a few minor scratches, yet nothing that detracts from its appeal. It still sports its original "Nitto" factory tires with little wear. The only thing not working is the "neutral indicator light". All other accessories function as designed. After sitting unused for a long period, it was hard to start and needed attention... The carburetor was removed and rebuilt by a local Honda dealer. It was cleaned, and a new OEM needle & seat, plus factory gasket set was installed. A new genuine Honda coil was also added, and the battery is recent. It now starts on first or second kick, idles smoothly, runs quiet with no unusual noises. On a test ride, it accelerated briskly, with exceptional power. The clutch was smooth and positive, and the transmission shifted with ease. Brakes provide positive stopping and confidence. I am the second registered owner of this bike, holding a clear Montana title in my name. Transfer was made from the original title, issued when the bike was sold new. The bike was acquired in a trade, and is being sold to recover my investment. EXTRAS: Included in the sale, is a VINTAGE factory sponsored men's jacket, a Clymer Honda shop manual, and (3) carburetor "O" ring bowl gaskets.
