You will not find another Scout like this on the East Coast (well maybe, but not in the NY/NJ/CT area) I am selling my long owned '72 Scout II. Originally a Southern California vehicle it is in the NY/NJ area and garage kept the entire time. I have owned it for 20 years, purchased from the second owner (who was an IH mechanic) and shipped, not driven, to the East Coast. 345 V8 with 138,276 original miles (Yes, only 138k!) automatic transmission, dual exhaust, factory air (very cold), 4 inch lift kit and new battery. Runs great and very rust free considering it's age. I pulled back the carpet and you can see the typical Scout weak point, the body mount points are in great shape. Surface rust only. It has never been off-roaded, beat up or abused and never in an accident. Just the typical dings and dents from being a big truck. I had the top off a couple summers ago and scratched the paint on the body where the tape is on the pictures. And you can see the yellow paint from a NYC taxi that cut me off once here in the city. One picture shows it in the Mojave with the smaller tires. Oil pump was replaced a few years ago and as you can see the pressure is steady at 1500 rpm The Scout is currently in a climate controlled garage in NJ. It's registered and passes inspection every year, but it's off insurance since I only drive it seasonally and haven't driven it more than 100 miles this year. This being a second vehicle it gets very little use but is started and run every couple weeks. Buyer/winner must make a $250 non-refundable deposit with 48 hours of end of auction. The deposit is to buy the Scout not come around and decide then. You must make all arrangements for shipping. I will assist with the loading but all responsibility rests with the buyer.
