1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 "Iron Pig" as these are fondly known Rare 4 door body style F2 Motor – 4.2 Liter larger, better Land Cruiser motor 4 speed transmission Front Disk Brakes 4 Wheel drive – working transfer case The value in this FJ55 is the correct motor, transmission and solid drive train. The frame is solid. This FJ55 has been completely covered in Rhino Liner type material by previous owner. It won’t scratch, no washing waxing etc and you can take it anywhere. There are places that have been repaired, but no rust is showing because of the liner. There is a dent on the passenger door at the bottom - but it does not hurt anything. This is ideal for the trails - take it anywhere but probably not the concourse! The truck has a good engine, but it needs some work. I have driven it without any trouble. It starts up, sputters a little until it is warm and then runs fine. The smog control was removed at some point and the carburetor needs to be adjusted because of this. On occasion it has a backfire through the tailpipe when shut off which I understand is not uncommon when smog has been removed. The interior is decent, but the upholstery is rough. Most everything works. Electric back window goes up and down great. Gauges work (except the aftermarket tach) and it runs and shifts smoothly. Actual mileage is unknown. After a 30 minute drive, I parked the Cruiser for a week and had one drip about the size of a nickle - so very little leakage. I bought this truck because of the rarity and planned to fix it up, but I have too many projects and not enough time or space.
