I am listing this vehicle for a friend of mine who collects older and classic Diesel Mercedes-Benz vehicles. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me and I will relay your questions to him. Up for Auction is his 1980 Mercedes-Benz 300TD non-Turbo Diesel Station Wagon with roughly 200,000 miles on it. The car previously sat for roughly 15 years due to the prior owners running it low on oil. A good used replacement engine was installed about 2 years ago, which has similar mileage to the car itself. It runs and starts great and does not smoke. The transmission is an automatic.The tires are also in good shape. The body is burgundy in color and shows well for its age, but does have some cosmetic blemishes here and there. Very little rust. Some rust starting on the door bottoms, etc but overall a pretty solid body. The interior is Palomino and is also in good shape and fairly clean. It has power windows, manual sunroof, and Blaupunkt radio. This car is currently daily driven so the mileage will go up slightly. If anyone wishes, I can get the exact mileage at this point. I was told that it is in the ball park of 200,000. My friend also noted that he would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, and that the new owner could bring their own plates and drive the car away with no issue. NOTE: Ebay made me choose a title type, so I chose "clean." There is currently no title for this vehicle. CT does not require titles for vehicles manufactured prior to 1981. The buyer will receive a copy of the current CT registration and a bill of sale. Please check your local laws regarding vehicle titles if planning on registering outside of CT. I also wanted to note that the car is sold as-is, where is, no warranty expressed or implied,so please ask any questions prior to bidding. You bid to own.
