Really Nice and Clean 1966 Shelby Mustang, 289 cu in Engine, Automatic Trans. This Shelby Mustang is a clone and is owned by a friend of mine and I am selling it for him. He purchased the car about 1 year ago from a private owner in California. It has less than 70,000 miles on it and is equipped with an original type 289 V8, automatic transmission and factory floor shifter. The body is a solid western car and appears to have no rust in the body parts or floor pans. The paint is a 2 stage, base coat/clear coat and looks very good at 15 feet, it is not a show quality paint job. The stripes are under the clear and the transition from black to silver is excellent. However, there are some small hairline cracks and small bubbles in the paint. There are no dents other than a factory screw hole in the door that was not used with the new Shelby mirror. There appears to be no body filler in the car other than the holes in the hood where the ford letters were. The drive train is in excellent condition and the car rides, steers and handles very well. The motor runs good as so does the transmission shift and perform flawlessly. All accessories on the car works perfectly, including all lights, wipers, radio and heater. The glass in the car is either new or in perfect condition and the new owner has just had new (updated) disc brakes added, along with new gauges, new shocks, new rear springs, new radiator and thermostat. It also has a perfect new interior with all new pony seats, door panels, Shelby wood and billet steering wheel, CD player, new carpets, new headliner and Shelby trim with the Shelby signature on the glove box door. The exhaust is new and the wheels are great looking 15" Shelby new billet aluminum wheels and new tires. You will not believe the looks and thumbs up you get when driving this car, it is definitely a head turner everywhere it goes. If you are looking for Shelby Mustang at a great price, don't pass this one up. All this car needs is someone to drive it.
