This is an awesome truck. Gets lots of attention cruising around town. I drive it around town, local cruises, and to play golf occasionally. It was shipped to NY from Prescott Valley, Arizona a few years ago. You can verify by looking at the DSO code on the door VIN tag - It's the district that ordered the truck - 75 Phoenix. This is not a restored truck - no body work, no filler, etc. Underside is extremely nice as is the frame and the rest of the body. It looks to have had the paint touched up in spots due to the western desert sun fade. There are a few dings. The battery was leaking and there is minor rust through underneath - you can see it in one of the pics. There is a spot of surface rust on the left rear wheel arch - there are pics of everything - nothing overlooked. New 31x10.5R15 tires and rims. Odometer reads 34k miles - I put 134k figuring it rolled once - don't think it rolled twice due to the condition of the truck. 2 gas tanks - one behind seat and other under bead controlled by a toggle switch on the dash. Both work. The interior has been refurbished for the same reason - the hot desert sun faded/cracked the seat cover. The seat has been recovered, new carpet, door panels, and a dash cover. Since it was an AZ truck, the original owner had the Ford dealership add Air Conditioning and Cruise Control. Both are not working at the moment but are in tact The AC has no belt on the compressor and needs charged/converted. It also has a sliding rear window. I installed new Mile Marker lockout hubs and they work fantastic - 4L/4H work perfect. The 4 speed shifts fine - a bit heavy - what you would expect from a tough old truck. Power brakes work good. Power steering has a bit of play, but this is normal for these old trucks and there was some play when they were new. Has factory 4:11 gears. The story is that the original owner had a big ranch and would put the truck in 1st and idle around the ranch doing jobs. I think you could get out of the truck and walk beside it! The right side manifold has an exhaust leak. The rest of the exhaust is in good condition, but I would replace with a better fitting mid pipe - the one on it is not factory. There is some oil seeping in a couple spots, but it's an untouched 37 year old truck other then some tuneup stuff, air cleaner, and valve cover gaskets. On Aug-10-14 at 09:37:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Someone asked about the motor. It's a 351M, stock 2 barrel, stock exhaust, intake, etc. It has not been rebuilt. I can tell new valve cover gaskets, water pump/gasket, and maybe intake gasket have been done in the past. It is a bit noisy, but oil pressure is fine and it runs decent - sometime a little hesitation if you accelerate fast. I would suggest replacing rod bearing, main bearings, and oil pump as it can be done with the motor in the truck in 3-5 hours and for under $300 - it's common on the 351M. My plan was to swap in a 460 as they are cheap and I want the extra HP. My reserve reflects the condition of the truck - if you have watched these, they can go above $10k and many times they are quickly painted with bondo, seat covers, etc. This is an original truck - no body work has been done except a bit of paint on the sun faded areas - it is not a bondo buggy - cab corners, rockers, floors are original in great shape.
