The La Grange, Illinois (Cook County) Police Department is offering the following vehicle/equipment for sale by auction: 2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty XL Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door 5.4L WITH PLOW and 55,302 original miles This vehicle is surplus property of the Village Of La Grange and MUST be sold according to Illinois law; it MUST be sold in an auction-type setting such as eBay. There is NO Buy-It-Now option. We will NOT accept any trades for this vehicle. The vehicle is being sold AS IS and with NO existing warranty, neither express nor implied. ALL sales are FINAL, NO returns will be accepted, and NO price adjustments will be given. The vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder after the starting price has been satisfied. There is NO RESERVE on this item-the starting price is the bottom line price we will accept for this vehicle. DO NOT MAKE AN OFFER! POSITIVES: Again, the vehicle has 55,302 original miles. The vehicle shows normal signs of wear-n-tear for it's age; normal scratches, dings, dents, scuffs, minor rust spots, etc-nothing major. The vehicle has manual door locks, manual windows, manual retractable mirrors, manual seats. The vehicle has front tow hook and a rear hitch with electrical hookups. The bed of the vehicle measures approx. 8 feet X 6 feet and the bed liner appears to be in good shape. The vehicle is 4 X 4, and comes with an 8 foot Western plow mounted by the Western Ultra Mount Plow Mounting System. There are interior plow controls inside the cab (Western). The plow will eventually need a new blade (bottom piece). The vehicle has a factory AM/FM stereo, A/C, heat, blower, all in working order. All lights, lamps, signals, wipers, and horn are in working order. The vehicle's tires appear to be in good condition. Lastly, the vehicle has step bumpers on both the driver and passenger side. The vehicle was maintained by our certified village mechanic and routine maintenance was regularly performed. Overall, the vehicle appears to be in good condition with no known major problems, neither mechanical or otherwise. The vehicle is being sold due to the purchase of a replacement vehicle as a regularly scheduled budget item. NEGATIVES: The driver's seat is torn and taped as seen in the photographs. The vehicle has very minor rust spots on the front bumper. The vehicle has minor dings, dents, scratched, scuff, etc around the body, however, nothing major. the check engine light is illuminated on the dash, however, the vehicle appears to be running just fine. Again, overall, the vehicle appears to be in good shape.
