The La Grange, Illinois (Cook County) Police Department is offering the following vehicle/equipment for sale by auction: 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty XL Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 5.4L with Triton V-8 engine with 48,878 miles This vehicle is surplus property of the Village Of La Grange and MUST be sold according to Illinois law; it MUST be sold in an auction-type setting such as eBay. There is NO Buy-It-Now option. We will NOT accept any trades for this vehicle. The vehicle is being sold AS IS and with NO existing warranty, neither express nor implied. ALL sales are FINAL, NO returns will be accepted, and NO price adjustments will be given. The vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder after the starting price has been satisfied. There is NO RESERVE on this item-the starting price is the bottom line price we will accept for this vehicle. DO NOT MAKE AN OFFER! POSITIVES: Again, the vehicle has 48,878 original miles. The vehicle has a factory AM/FM stereo in working condition. The vehicle has retractable side view mirrors, manual (crank) windows, manual seats, manual door locks, and an operable interior (dome) light. All lights, lamps, and signals are in good working order with no trouble indicator lights illuminated on the dash indicating any problems with the vehicle. The two front tires are in fair to good condition with the two rear tires in fair condition (all still have tread and will not need immediate replacement). The vehicle has to front tow hooks and a rear hitch with electrical hookups. There are rail deflectors on all doors. The vehicle has an audible alarm when the vehicle is placed in reverse gear. There are three switches on the dash, which were once for emergency lighting. The emergency lighting has been taken out but the switches remain. The vehicle's be measures approx. 6 feet X 5 feet and the bed liner is in fair to good condition. The body of the vehicle is in good condition with minor dings, dents, scratches and minor rust spots-see below negative comments. Overall, the vehicle appears to be in good working order with no known mechanical issues. the vehicle is being sold due to purchasing new vehicles during our normal budgeting cycle. NEGATIVES: The driver's-side outside mirror is cracked. The driver's seat is torn and taped as seen in the photographs. The front bumper has a couple minor spots in early stages of very minor rust. The driver's-side door bottom has early stages of minor rust. The rubber molding is loose on the front driver's-side door. It sounds like a heat shield is loose from the undercarriage. There is very minor paint chipped on the upper passenger-side front door. There is a small/minor rust spot and minor dent in the passenger-side rear 1/4. There is a minor hole in the back of the driver's seat. The vehicle is NOT equipped with air conditioning. Again, overall, the vehicle appears to be in good shape.
