On offer here is truly one of the nicest Jaguar XJS Convertibles that money can buy. This car was originally purchased in the Miami area and is believed to have only accrued 60,055 miles since new. The car is a 1990 model and has the desirable 5.3L V12 engine. That is 5,344cc for you folks across the pond! The motor is backed up by the incredibly stout and reliable GMTH400 transmission. The car runs extremely well and accelerates in a fantastic linear fashion, just as any V12 should! The car is finished in an attractive coat of Satin Beige over a wonderfully preserved interior in Palomino Doeskin. The car also sports a Dark Brown convertible top. The full interior and power top are all original and, as you can see in the pictures, both are in incredible condition. The dash is free of the typical heat cracks commonly seen in other cars and the interior as a whole is as well preserved as I have see in cars of this vintage. The car currently sits on an attractive set of Dayton chrome wire wheels which feature the Jaguar logo on the knockoff. These wheels are far superior to the stock wheels which came on the car and they really help to accentuate the lines of the car. They also give the car that classic Jaguar look that we all love so much. The original alloy wheels are included in the sale of the car and are in nice condition. Buyer will need to pay to ship the wheels separate from the car. I could try to fit the wheels in the trunk and interior for shipment but would not recommend that. The car also currently rides on Firestone tires which still have the little rubber nubs protruding from the side walls. This particular car came to Kansas City some years ago. The last two owners of the car have been Jaguar Club of Kansas City members which speaks to how well the car has been taken care of throughout its years. The last owner drove the car only 2000 miles and kept the car constantly garaged and totally babied. They actually showed the car in multiple Jaguar concours events and won a number of awards with it. The car does, however, have a few simple needs. The last owners had a replacement power antenna installed on the car. Because of that, the factory radio in the car needs to be reset. This is easy to do and merely requires a code to be entered into the radio. This code can be obtained through any local Jaguar dealer. Also, the car will need its AC unit recharged by the next owner. If you are looking for a well sorted, well taken care of car then this is certainly one which should have your consideration. As the car currently sits, the paint is all original and is in absolutely beautiful condition. It presents as well as original paint could possibly present on one of these cars. To say the paint on this car is "great" would be an understatement. The car also has absolutely excellent original chrome. The car is believed to have its full original drivetrain including engine, transmission, and rear end. As you can see in the pictures below, the engine compartment is absolutely immaculate and presents as close to new as is possible on one of these cars. The car has never been in an accident. I have tried to provide enough pictures to get across just how nice this car is but, being that I am not a professional photographer, the photos still do not live up to the car. If you desire to have a no excuses Jaguar XJS V12, you have just found it. There are a number of these cars offered on the open market at any time, however, only rarely does one come for sale which is of the same level as this example. This car is being offered at an extremely reasonable price and my reserve is well below the market value of the car. If you look elsewhere on eBay or other sites, you will see a number of these cars offered with, frankly, insane asking prices. I am not looking to chase some impossible full-retail number. Instead, I am looking to sell the car reasonably and pass it along to its next owner. The reserve on this car is actually set low enough that it may as well be a no reserve auction. Bidding on the car will no doubt easily exceed the reserve. I would also consider any reasonable offer on the car to end the auction early. If such an offer is accepted, the auction will be ended only after I recieve a deposit towards the purchase of the car. I have seen plenty of these cars over the last month which have lower mileage than this example but show a far greater degree of wear and tear from years of use. This example is a absolutely prime opportunity to purchase one of the best Jaguar XJS V12s on the market today.
