The La Grange, Illinois (Cook County) Police Department is offering the following vehicle/equipment for sale by auction: 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty XL Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door 5.4L WITH PLOW with a mileage of 68,303 miles (4 X 4) with Triton V-8 engine This vehicle is surplus property of the Village Of La Grange and MUST be sold according to Illinois law; it MUST be sold in an auction-type setting such as eBay. There is NO Buy-It-Now option. We will NOT accept any trades for this vehicle. The vehicle is being sold AS IS and with NO existing warranty, neither express nor implied. ALL sales are FINAL, NO returns will be accepted, and NO price adjustments will be given. The vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder after the starting price has been satisfied. There is NO RESERVE on this item-the starting price is the bottom line price we will accept for this vehicle. DO NOT MAKE AN OFFER! POSITIVES: Again, the vehicle has 68,303 original miles. The vehicle has no noteworthy body damage, just normal scratches, dings, dents, minor rust spots, etc. The vehicle has working manual windows (crank), manual locks, and manual seats. The vehicle has an AM/FM stereo in working order. All lights, signals, and lamps are in good working order. The vehicle has good working A/C, heat, blower, etc. The vehicle has retractable side-view mirrors on both sides. The tires appear to be in good condition. The vehicle has Dee Zee step bumpers on both sides. The vehicle has a Western 8-foot snow plow attached with a Western Ultra Mount Plow Mounting System (we think the plow was purchased new in 2002 when the truck was purchased). The plow appears to be in good shape, but will eventually need a new blade only. The vehicle has interior controls for the plow (Western controls) in good working order. The vehicle has a lined bed 8 feet X 5 feet. The vehicle has a rear power Tommy Gate with controls on the passenger-side rear. The vehicle also has a separate corded Tommy Gate controller that plugs into the driver's-side of the rear. The vehicle also has a hitch. Lastly, along with all of our vehicles, this item was maintained by our certified village mechanic. It underwent routine maintenance on a regular schedule. We do recommend a newer battery for the vehicle, although it starts just fine now. There are no known major or minor mechanical or physical defects on the vehicle. NEGATIVES: The driver's seat is torn and taped as seen in the photographs. The driver's-side front bumper is in early stages of minor rust spots. The driver's-side door bottom has early stages of minor rust. The driver's-side rear wheel well has a small rust spot. The passenger-side rear wheel well has minor rust spots. The front passenger-side bumper has minor rust. The rear Tommy Gate has minor rust. The rear Tommy Gate will need grease/oil...slow going down, however, hydraulics appear to be in good working order. Overall, the vehicle appears to be in good working order as well as the rear Tommy Gate and Western plow system & controls.
