Vehicle Detail
This is an estate sale for a 2002 VW Golf TDI. This car is a good runner, but has some known issues. See below. 92,000 miles - runs well.PASSED Nevada required smog check in January 2014 - currently registered.Timing belt replaced at 75,000 miles by local VW dealer. Most maintenance records available.CD/cassette works well.Tan cloth interior in good condition with no tears or excess wear.Locking factory roof rack rails included.Clear title, ready to transfer. Faulty glow plug harness.Paint fair - fading on roof and hood.Tires fair - good tread with some irregular wear on front likely due to alignment.Front spoiler damaged.Prior leaks at sunroof - reportedly repaired.Driver's side door sensor faulty - door must sometimes be closed again before open door light goes out. On Aug-14-14 at 13:56:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Revised Details: Q&A from prospective bidders Q: Have I owned this car since 2007? A: I am not the owner - I am the executor of the estate of the owner. According to the vehicle history report this owner purchased the car in March, 2007. I am selling it to settle the estate. Q: How was the sunroof repaired? A: I have no repair record for the sunroof. It is an electric sunroof, and it has opened previously without the switch being activated (with the car parked and off). Since there are no repair records, I would treat this as an un-repaired fault. Q: Are there any check engine lights on?A: Yes. It was reported to me at the time of the successful smog test that this is due to a faulty glow plug harness. The light has been on for at least a year and has had no cold weather starting problems. Q: Have the struts been replaced?A: I have no record of strut replacement. Q: Can the car be viewed?A: Yes. I can be met for inspection of the car on Thursday, August 14 at 6pm and again on Friday, August 15 at 6pm. Send me a direct email for directions.
