Offering a great driver and vintage 1952 Pontiac Chieftan for sale with NO RESERVE PRICE!!! Pontiac’s lineup was restyled in 1949 by Herman Kaiser along Harley Earl’s guidelines. The cars featured a full-width body and curved two-piece windshield common to Cadillac and Oldsmobile. Two models were built, the Streamliner and Chieftain, and both rode on a 120-inch wheelbase. Both could also be ordered with either a 239-cid six-cylinder L-head engine that made 90 hp, or a 248-cid straight-eight mill that developed 104 hp. Transmissions were the Hydramatic automatic (78%) and three-speed manual. The Chieftain was Pontiac’s upmarket model, replacing the 1948 Pontiac Torpedo. The 1952 Pontiac Chieftan is in great condition, definitely a great driver to show off to your friends or to drive around town. The Chieftan was recently repainted with its two tone colors. The interior was stripped, floorboards repaired and recoated, interior was detailed to include new carpet, seats were detailed alongside the headliner. The Dashboard was recently repainted along with all the interior moldings, and brand new weatherstrips around the door frames. The Motor is not the original, it is presently equipped with a 455 with a 3 speed automatic transmission.
