Vehicle Detail
Recently purchase this vehicle from neighbor that had moved and had no interestin keeping car. He had owned vehicle since 1999 and only put about 500 miles on it. After doing 3 frame off restorations and one on body restoration on 3 MGs I only wish I would have started with a car like this. The car has been maintained and improved over its lifetime. The top is original with no tears and rear windows are clear. The factory hard top is complete and dent free but has marks from storage. Headliner and pieces of foam body seals are missing. Comes with hardware to mount. There is no sign of body filler or rust through on body, engine, trunk, floor boards or frame. Seats will need refoaming and there are no rips or tears in fabric. Michelin X Redline tires in good shape with decent tread with spare in trunk and used matching tire. Car appears to have surface repaint and the usual dings and dents that are easily repaired by Dent Wizard. Recently replaced items include: spark plugs, green hoses, distributor cap, plug wires, rotor, points, oil change with new filter, gas tank flushed, new front spoiler, new stainless trim rings on tires, most dash knobs, windshield clean and clear with new gasket The following items come with car: Period correct full tonneau cover, cotton dust cover, jack and jack accessories, numerous service manuals including handbook and service manual, new antennae, rubber floor mats, EGR meter, extra new spark plugs, various gaskets and misc. items. The car starts first time every time with no smoke. Engine is strong but will need timing set. Recently drove to Vintage Grand Prix in Pittsburgh for show only. Received nice comments from other TR6 owners would commented my asking price was spot on. When I purchased this car I figured it would be the perfect candidate for a complete frame off restoration.Straight body, minimal surface rust, straight frame, strong engine, good clutch, overdrive, all components in place, all gauges working, all lights working, decent tires and wheels. I am getting older and recently realized that frame off restoration are no longer feasible. This car would also make a very nice cruiser for the weekend with very minimal cash outlay. Winning bidder will be fully responsible for any shipping charges. I am located about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh, PA 1 mile from the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Irwin Exit) Please call with any question 412-759-8800 Good LUCK!!!!
