Hello everyone! I am selling my 2003 Mini Cooper. It is a 5 speed with the 1.6l engine. When I parked it it had 169,982 miles. I have a clean Arizona title for the car and am the 3rd owner. The engine runs well, however I believe it needs a new clutch or possibly something else in the transmission. I was driving across country from NY to Arizona with it when I began slipping out of 5th gear and making noises from the tranny so I pulled over immediately and had it towed to a shop in Springfield, Missouri. I currently can't afford to have any work started on it so I am putting it up for sale for someone else to repair. You will have to pick the car up at the shop in Springfield, Missouri.Here is some more of the bad. All of these things are purely cosmetic and do not effect the drivability. There is some rust on the car along the bottom of the doors, some bubbling around the gas cap, and rust around the tail lights. There is a spot of rust on the hood from a paint chip. The muffler also sounds like it has some holes in it from rust. The glove box is missing. I was vacuuming under the seat and knocked a wire that goes to the seats and now an airbag light is, however this does not prevent the airbags from doing their job should something occur. The is also a chip in the windshield, but it is directly behind the rear view mirror so it can not be seen from the inside.The tires all have very good tread. I believe they are all Bridgestone Potenzas. Three of the four all have the same tread depth and a fourth is pretty much brand new that I had put on after picking up a nail. It does have a few nice upgrades like front and rear two tone black/blue leather seats from the S model and official Mini Cooper rally lights and covers. Right before I began the trip it received an oil change with a high mileage synthetic blend. I also cleaned the spark plugs and made sure the gaps were all proper. I installed a brand new battery with a 5 year warranty and I have the receipt. It has a K&N air filter that received a cleaning and oiling before I left NY too. The AC blows ice cold all summer long and the heater works great in the winter. The panoramic moon roof works without issues and is my absolute favorite feature of this car. This car is so much fun to drive. It handles amazing and would be a great car for anyone once the clutch or transmission issue is fixed.
