Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a nicely modded truck with the 6.0 motor in it. This is one of our customer's rides, he has owned this truck since new. This particular customer has several "fun" rides we have helped him with through the years, this one unfortunately is no longer "fun". It appears that the head gaskets that were previously replaced with the new heads were a poor performing gasket and he has issues now when his boost hits over 20 psi. Due to our unavailable shop time and the cost of putting in new head gaskets, he took this rig to a local commercial truck company in his home town in PA and had it looked over. They confirmed it is head gasket failure, confirming what we felt it was. We are currently doing other work for him, he has lost interest in doing anymore with this truck and wants it sold. So we told him we would offer his truck on Ebay as a gratitude for his repeat business. So, that's the story. The truck currently does run and drive but is in Pennsylvania and not at our shop in Ohio. Want to be clear on that. We wouldn't recommend driving it long distance without getting the head gaskets fixed, but that's up to the final buyer. Our customer has spent good money on this rig and it's unfortunate that the folks that he had do the performance work used less than adequate gaskets or didn't get the tolerances correct. To be clear, this wasn't our shop, we were unavailable to assist him with this rig as we had too many projects going, he opted to take it to a local shop in PA as he needed his rig back up and running before we could get to it. Unfortunately, that decision didn't work out in his best interest (that shop is now closed). The build sheet on this truck is very nice, he is just ready to move onto something else and get away from the diesel world entirely. His loss, your gain. He drove the truck for nearly a year before this problem reared its head, we rode in this truck when first completed, it did run really well and had no issues prior to the premature head gasket failures. This is an absolute steal on this truck! Please note, the ABS light is on, one of the doors isn't registering closed, and an oil temperature switch is showing up on the code reader. None of this affects it's performance, the head gaskets are the primary culprit. Winning bidder will be expected to ask all necessary questions and more video or photos can be provided to be assured the truck is being represented as best we can. It is asked to remedy any remaining questions before 24 hours after auction closes, as a deposit is required. Again, this is a steal, you can't buy a truck without mods for this price, count up the receipts and more importantly the date they were done. the John Wood tranny is nearly worth this much alone! Good Luck!
