Vehicle Detail
I am in North Carolina, so if you cant travel to pick up the car, PLEASE do not bid, or if you get the car mixed up with another because you are looking at several cars, please do not bid. I am relisting this due to this reason. The car is a 1978 Malibu Classic 2-Door Coupe that has been down south its whole life. I purchased it out of a farm with intentions to make it a 4speed car and several other things, and I just don't have the time.It has a newer 350 with a turbo 350 tranny. I also just put a brand new Edlebrock 600cfm carb on it, and combined with the aluminum intake, headers, tranny cooler, and flowmaster exhaust, it runs like a champ!!! It has 225/70R15 tires with corvette rallies with new trim rings. The center caps were stolen, so the center caps in the pictures are gone. It looks bone stock, but packs one heck of a punch off the line.It would make a great car if someone had the time to take care of some details. The paint has the typical fading and chalking look when you get up close, sitting on farm in a barn didn't help, but the paint back then wasn't that great to start with.It will need a headliner and the vinyl top has the typical cracking to it. I did put new roof rail weatherstrips on it, and was working on the details I just don't have the time. The car was on cement, so the floors, frame rails, trunk, etc... are all solid. The previous owner put in the motor, tranny, etc, and it runs like a champ. It sometimes smokes upon startup from the valve guide seals, but that is all I can think of that is an issue. If you have any questions, please call me and ask prior to bidding!!!!!!! I am in North Carolina. Please remember that when bidding. If you you have questions my phone number is 651-249-8340, my name is Mark. Please call with any questions or other requests before bidding!!!! Please don't text or email! If you are interested give me a call! Please no tire kickers. I also will not give away the reserve, but contact me if you are interested in making a deal prior to auction end. I also reserve the right to end the auction early, due to the car being for sale locally!!!!
