This is a great example of the last of the hand built S class, w109 platform, German touring sedans, only 2533 of these cars were made for the US market. Air suspension, spacious leather interior, chrome door moldings, power windows, burled walnut wood accented dash and door trim. The 300SEL came equipped with the M117 motor in 4.5 liter V8 configuration and could do the quarter mile in 17.1 seconds. The 300 SEL has excellent touring suspension with air bags, all wheel power assisted disc brakes that make the car safe and reliable. The leather interior is original and still looks great with the most wear showing on the driver's seat. All the wood is in good condition and windshield wood has been refurbished so it is in excellent condition. The car starts first time and sounds great, no leaks, air suspension is good working condition. There are stone chips at the front of the car and some small holes in the head liner behind the driver and passenger seats, both have been repaired. Steering wheel has cracks but horn pad is in good condition. Car had some refurbishing early on, currently the car is in Southern California the majority of its time was in Phoenix, Arizona. Service records from 1986 through 1990 along with books available. This is a really nice looking and running car for its age and starts first time and has been well maintained.
