My daily driver just blew an exhaust gasket a couple of days ago. I am pretty sure it would sound different if it was a head gasket. It still runs, but now sounds like a farm tractor and has lost power. I only ran it about 1000 feet to safety when it happened. It will run long enough to load up into your pickup from a loading dock. I'd fix it and keep it for myself but health issues force sale. No kidding. Starting bid is less than what a non-running Cav sold for, recently, here on ebay. No reserve. No shills, I promise. Located in Iowa. You pick up or make a deal with me (pay for my gas and time) or pay for your own shipping. Other details: New rear tire. New battery. I repaired the clutch hydraulic line about a year ago. Cruise control works great. Fairing ducts for switching from cold weather riding to warm weather riding works great. Good strong trailer hitch. Good stereo & speakers, but I never use it myself so it is not powered up right now. I can show you where the wire is to hook it up. Has all the safety upgrades (after market fork brace and stronger seal between transfer case and tranny.) This bike has many more good years left in her. All she needs is some screwdriver work to remove the fairing and some wrench work on the outer parts of the engine. I just changed the oil last week. I have no doubt that this current issue is relatively minor and easy to fix. No rebuild on the motor needed. The fairing disassembly and re-assembly will take you more time than replacing the gasket.
