1993 Corvette 40th Anniversary Edition – LT1 / 6 Speed! This highly optioned, rare corvette with current mileage just over 92,100 and has no mechanical issues. Here are the details: · Anniversary Edition - this car was ordered with Sport leather power seats (both driver and passenger), the driver’s seat has normal wear on the side bolster, but it has been re-stained with the correct Ruby Red dye and looks great. The passenger seat leather is near perfect - the gears/motor that moves the track forward/reverse is going out. All of the other power seat functions work fine (6 way), including the adjustable side bolsters. The door panels are in great condition with the exception of them pulling away from the top of the door. This is a very common issue with the C4s. The carpet is in good original condition – wear on the driver’s mat and side from getting in and out of the car. Dash looks great! The leather console top was replaced - $200. · 6 Speed Manual Transmission - the six-speed manual transmission was designed jointly by ZF (Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen) and Chevrolet and was initially built by ZF in Germany. A computer-aided gear selection feature bypassed second and third gears (and locked out fifth and sixth) for improved fuel economy when a series of low performance criteria were met. · LT1 Motor – 300hp / 340pft, very clean and strong motor. One very slow leak (1-2 per week), seems to be coming from the oil pan drain plug. New battery. · Bose AM/FM Stereo with Cassette and CD - it was removed and refurbished by GM, which costs over $400. It sounds great. Also has a new antenna that works properly. · AC / Power Steering / Disc Brakes – new rear brakes and rotors at 87K miles, which included a fluid bleed and flush - $700. · Power Windows / Power Door Locks – the windshield is near perfect with a few very small chips. Driver's side glass hits pillar in top corner (see picture). · Glass Roof Panel – includes new top wrench, new weather stripping on the both sides, one runs along the top of the windshield and the other along the back of the cockpit. Also has new weather stripping around the back glass. The lift shocks have also been replaced and work great. · Ruby Red Metallic Paint – only offered one year for the 40th Anniversary Edition. In my opinion, the paint is 6 out of 10 or a “10 Footer”. Please look at the high-quality pictures closely, so you can make your own determination. The worst section is the driver’s side quarter panel. There are a few areas where the paint has spidered. Also has some door dings and rock chips. Any areas of imperfection have been touched-up with factory correct paint. · Updated Z06 Wheels – the front passenger wheel has been scuffed by a curb (see picture), but the others are in good condition. The tires have about 40-50% tread remaining (see picture). Only 6749 of the Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvettes were produced and only about 25% of all of the coupes made in 1993 were 6 Speeds! This Corvette has had over $2500 invested into it over the last 4 years, but remember it is 21 years old, so it is not perfect.
