1966 Corvette Resto Mod. 1966 Corvette Resto Mod Convertible: Upgraded to look like a 1967 427 corvette roadster, this car was built to have vintage looks, but drive like newer Vette, as such its loaded up with options: power rack and pinion steering, power 4 wheel disc brakes, power windows, tilt, working cruise control, AC, power C4 corvette sport seats, side pipes, touch screen pioneer radio with nav, GPS, XM, I pod and usb cords, led taillights, led parking lights, led 67 back up lights, HID headlights, Detroit speed and engineering headlight motors (FAST!!) and even a C5 corvette auto dimming rear view mirror with LED reading lights. Engine has been upgraded to a fuel injected 5.7 corvette engine with a 6 speed Transmission (under 10k miles) . Suspension and frame upgraded to C4 corvette front and rear suspension, Brakes upgraded to C6 front brakes and QA1 adjustable coil overs. Wheels upgraded to C6 corvette Z06. Top upgraded to haartz cloth, car is torch red with red leather interior, black top and a black stinger stripe on a Big block stinger corvette hood. It has had GTS widened rear quarters installed to allow for wider rear wheels, and C6 corvette rear hatch humps and waterfall. As aggressive as this car looks, it is a driver, as such it is a very pleasant and reliable car to drive. It starts every time, It handles fantastic, it stops on a dime, and coming back from Corvettes of Carlisle last year (750 miles each way) it averaged mileage in the mid to high 20's while running highway speeds with the cruise on. Being a driver means don't expect a perfect car, its a very nice car, paint is slick and nicer then most cars I see, Its a lot of fun to drive, and I have enjoyed it. but...it is built to my specs, and I think the wipers are ugly on a midyear, so it does not have them. The speedometer is not perfect and reads about 5 mph slow compared to the GPS in the car, and the gas gauge sometimes does not read correctly (says reserve when it is not low) so I set the trip setting each fill up. It has current GA transferable registration in my name, that will transfer to a title if you are in a title state.
