This is a vintage built "Baja" 1973 Volkswagen Beetle. The car is in very nice condition overall with no rust, and it runs and drives great. It features fiberglass front and rear fenders, trunk lid & nose, and engine cover. There are a few little cracks in the nosepiece but overall the fiberglass is good for it's age. The paint is an old coat of medium metallic blue that has picked up some nice patina and looks great in the sunlight. The flames are hand painted and look fantastic! It also has stainless side nerf bars and heavy duty front & rear bars. A Dick Cepek light bar is mounted on the roof with four forward facing lights and two rear facing lights. The interior is all original and looks great. The seats are clean with no rips or tears and even the headliner is decent. The dashboard is also clean and intact. All the glass is good with no cracks or chips. All the lights/blinkers work. We were told the engine is the larger 1800cc and it has had a lot of performance work done internally. Visually we can see it has a Weber carb and Kadron header. It runs great and is quick! A chrome Stinger header is also included for racing applications. The car has a 4spd trans with Hurst shifter and left/right hand brakes. The tires are 31" and are older but still have plenty of life left in them. It certainly will get really good gas mileage with those tall tires! This is a real 1970's built Baja bug that has all the right parts and just looks fantastic! It can be driven just the way it is on the street, or could be taken off roading or racing. If you're looking for an eye catching, cool Baja bug, this is it!
