1978 Factory triple black 2 door coupe Malibu Classic. There are not a lot of these cars made in this color combo, so I considerate it a rare car. I pulled it out of a farm in southern North Carolina and luckily it was on cement and keep the body solid. It has a very solid southern body. The battery boiled over on the previous owner and it has some cancer on the right corner of the hood. The paint is original and has fading, peeling on the inside of the drivers door jamb, imperfections like a haze to it, and bird dropping stains in the in the clear coat. It would be an awesome car to completely restore to new!!! The vinyl top has the typical cracking from sitting and not being taken care of. The motor is new along with the transmission. It is a 350 motor, with A/C that is all hooked up and there, but have no idea if it works. I have never tried it. The transmission is a Turbo 350. It has been hot rodded a bit, including headers, Aluminum intake, brand new Edlebrock Carb,tranny cooler and new 2 1/2 inch aluminized exhaust with flowmasters. The inside is ok. It does need a headliner, and could use a dash cap. The previous owner put a seat with armrests out of a later Malibu or Monte Carlo in it and dyed it black, I tried to find the original but he could not locate it. The rest of the inside is the original black from the factory.It is a rare triple black solid 2 door coupe Malibu.
