The good. Bidding on a Rare 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS with mostly original equipment. The vehicle is extremely clean with no significant dents or scratches on the coachwork. Interior is flawless with seats door panels and dash devoid of scratches or visible wear and tear. Mileage is extremely low and the vehicle,seems to have been very well taken care of. Engine and transmission perform very well. We have done both compression and leak down tests on the engine both are within specifications. There are performance upgrades; cold air intake,upgraded valvetrain, rocker arms,camshaft,valves and valvesprings. Front are Rear brake pads are recently replaced. The not so good. At idle the engine produces a distinct noise i could only describe as a swishing noise. There is no noticeable affect on vehicle performance but it is still an issue that should be noted. We did adjust the valves which were way out of adjustment and the suspicion is that there might be a need to replace the camshaft at some point. The antenna is missing. The installed cd player is an aftermarket unit, we do have the original.
