1964 Mercury Cyclone. Great car. The Comet Cyclone won Motor Trend Car of the Year in 1964. Restored in 1983 and always garaged. Still in great shape. Factory colors: Palomino with white interior. The driver’s seat shows wear. Nevada car, very little rust (minor surface rust under the paint forward of the rear wheel wells). The only real squawks other than needing to be tinkered and run is a missing emergency brake handle. Original hubcaps and air cleaner are available. I have a few spare tail lights and a center radio panel (I was planning on replacing the stereo with the original radio). The engine is the original 289 (this is not the K series) rebuilt with only 200 hours on the hobs. Cobra dress-kit, Carter 500 carb, Edelbrock intake, Malory elec-ignition and Crane cam. Port matched and balanced. A nice strong runner. Original top loader 4 speed and 9 bolt rear end (3:25). Visually, except for the wheels, stereo, steering wheel and cobra dress kit this car is all stock and very well cared for. I’m selling because I just don’t drive her anymore which means I’m not tinkering on her anymore and she deserves tinker-attention in a good home.
