1993 Mustang Cobra 5 Speed with Black exterior and grey leather interior. Low build number #117 out of roughly 5,000, making this a harder & harder car to find in good condition. The SVT certificate and owner's manual are included. While the car does have 150,000 miles on it; you'd never know it, as it appears & drives like a 50,000 car. Overall excluding the few exceptions I've noted below the car is in Fantastic shape cosmetically & mechanically. It drives strong, handles well, & shifts easily through all the gears. It is obvious that the previous owners valued & cared for the vehicle & to my knowledge it has been completely adult owned. The 93 Cobras generally have been much better cared for than the GT's or LX's as their exclusiveness & the price point typically attracts enthusiasts type owners. Recent repairs I have receipts for -Brand New Rear Tires (the Front Tires still have excellent tread) - Distributor - Fan Clutch which I do have receipts for Other Recent Repairs from previous owner (which I do NOT have receipts for) - Flow Master American Thunder Cat back exhaust system as the original system had seen its better days and was in need of replacement. - Distributor Cap, Rotor, & Spark Plugs - Fuel Sending Unit and 255 Fuel Pump - New throttle position sensor - Clutch Pressure Switch for A/C -- (Yes, the A/C works) - Driver's side door weather stripping (The one that goes around the whole section between door and body) - Driver's side seat - Replaced the motor that moves the seat horizontal - New rear hatch gas shocks that hold up the rear hatch -Note the Drive Train is completely original & has not been rebuilt but drives great The car also has a factory installed Ford alarm system w/ignition disable. All Power Options including Seat, Locks, Windows work as they should Car does have an after market Kenwood CD player which works great & looks well with the car. Not sure of the exacts on the CD player as I'm not much of an audio guy & I do Not have the original unit. No rust or dents, undercarriage could use a good pressure washing but other than that it's all good. It has slight sand residue from being in Tampa Florida. The passenger rear wheel has a very minor bit of curb rash but nothing noticable unless you directly right up on it & examining it. The drivers seat does have a some tears around the bolster area which you can see in the pics & could use to be reupholstered or dyed. The passenger and back seats look very good with just a slight amount fading. Everything else on the interior side looks great including the carpet, headliner, dash, ash tray, armrest, & door side pockets. It even has the original floor mats that look brand new given prior owner had plastics ones on top of them. Pictures include the plastic floor mats up front. According to the previous owner, several years ago the car had rear upper hatch wings installed and where later removed. Although where it was on for so long it made some spots where the tape was and may need to be wet sanded and buffed. Personally I think the spots are pretty insignificant but have made a point to take some pictures to try and show the marks. The ONLY negative event the Carfax & Auto Check shows is a wreck that happened back 20 years ago in Sept 1994. Although according to AutoCheck, which I can provide, the car evidently had a "COLLISION WITH A PEDESTRIAN ". While I can't be absolute certain, I strongly imagine the car simply bumped into a person & the police where called to file a claim for injury, litigation, &/or insurance purposes. Since ownership I have had the car inspected & I have been all around the car myself and don't see any obvious signs of damage, but wanted to make sure anyone interested was aware. As well, I do believe the car has likely been painted at some point so if you're looking for an original painted car this one isn't for you. Paint looks good but more than likely not original. A little history on the car: 1st Owner 1993 to 1997 2nd Owner 1997 to 2014, purchased the car while living in New York and 2 years later moved to Florida where the car was owned by him ever since. A fun fact New York requires automobile odometers to be 6 digits as oppose to the traditional 5 digits So the car shows a true 150k miles. 3rd Owner 2014, bought the car in FL & brought it to Dickson TN but decided to sell the car to fund the building of a higher performance Fox body mustang. Since the Cobra was bone stock he decided it was simply best to leave it that way. 4th Owner is Me. While I’ll always had a special fondness for fox body mustangs especially the Rare Cobras and have even owed a few fox bodies in the past. The truth is I believe I simply have just drifted apart from them by being spoiled to cars of more modern technology such as newer BMWs. Old sports cars require a unique type of owner & can provide great enjoyment in the right hands. If you're looking for a FoxBody this truly is an excellent example of one at a reasonable price point.
