This is a NO RESERVE auction for a very original 1983 Honda XL200R in excellent running condition. The XL200R makes a fine street bike because it is light, not too tall, dependable and economical. This street legal dual sport bike is also easy to handle for trail riding. This XL200R starts easily and runs well and is in its original red paint. Honda XL200’s are known for remarkable reliability and excellent gas mileage. Here are some more good features of this Honda: -Current California non-op registration. No back fees to pay. -Starts with a kick or two even after sitting for weeks (like Hondas do).-Comes with the original Honda owner's manual. -Very easy to kick start because of the automatic compression release. -This XL200 is from the dry high desert of Southern California. It is solid. -It has been kept in a garage, so the paint is still rich and shiny. -The original seat has no tears -Original Honda key. -FMF Racing spark arrestor equipped performance exhaust. Sounds good, not too loud. -All of the street equipment except for the turn signals is in place. You should know: -There are some very small dings on the tank. -The bike has nicks and wear on the frame paint typical for one that has been trail ridden. -The handlebars are slightly bent and the top of the front fender is scuffed from low speed spills in the dirt. I bought the bike this way and ride it this way. -Rear fender is faded. -Needs a new speedometer cable, and the previous owner put tape around the speedometer housing. I never removed the tape to see why. -Turn signal switch operates but the knob is missing. -Part of the engine sprocket cover and one of its mounts is broken. I bought the bike like this and ride it this way. Many motocross bikes don’t have an engine sprocket cover. -Fork boots and seals should be replaced, but the bike can be ridden as is. -Battery is missing but is not needed to run the bike or operate the lights. The XL200 has magneto ignition. -Needs a tail light bulb IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN FIVE FEEDBACKS, PLEASE EMAIL ME BEFORE BIDDING. PLEASE don’t bid unless you will pay for the bike.
