WHY IS IT FOR SALE: I have been purchasing a Motorcycle every few years or so for nearly fifty years. Always for personal use and often with the intention of keeping it forever. Sure wish I had some of the older ones, but they have a tendency to come and go. Currently there are four in the 'stable' and it is time to let one go, can't ride them all at the same time. WHAT I KNOW: This Motorcycle was purchased on Ebay in January 2012 from Hollywood Motors. It was shipped from California to my location in Ohio. Motorcycle had only 7,113 miles when delivered to me and has less than 9,800 miles presently. Original owner was the City of West Covina, California and was most likely auctioned with Hollywood Motors being the purchaser with the intention of resale. I was curious as to the low mileage and contacted the West Covina Police Department. Although helpful, they would not disclose any information regarding the history, except for indicating it would be in usable condition if it went to auction. I have experienced no problems with the Motorcycle and the following two sentences are my conjecture. I tend to believe it may have been 'out of action' for awhile due to a possible accident. If so, it may have 'sat' until being repaired and auctioned as most Police Motorcyles are prior to being offered to the public. Again, no problems have been experienced and the Motorcycle performs wonderfully. I have owned many and this one has the most compliant ride and handling of any I have ever owned. I do not believe you will be disappointed. OPTIONS and OTHER THINGS: The Motorcycle came with a lot of extra wiring for Police duty, etc. All unnecessary wiring was removed and everything put into proper order. You are welcome to all of the extra 'stuff' removed. GIVI Windshield installed - Eliminated all previous turbulence experienced with stock shield - Original shield included with sale.
