Vehicle Detail

For Sale: 1984 Ford Mustang GT-350 Convertible with only 21,300 original miles. One of only 1,213 produced. Mustang GT-350Convertible with21,300 Miles This unique 1984 Limited Edition Mustang GT-350 has had a very easy life and is in incredible original condition. The car is well equipped with the optional 5.0 litre H.O.(high output) engine which produced the highest horsepower available in 1984. It is also equipped with the following options and amenities : 1) TRX Factory alloys and Michelin TRX Metric Tires2) A/C3) Tilt steering wheel4) AM FM Stereo with power amp5) Cruse Control6) Fog Lights7) Recaro Factory Sport Seats8) Power Convertible Top9) 5 speed overdrive manual transmission This car is one of 1,213 5.0 convertibles built of which I do not have a breakdown of how many of those had the HO motor with manual trans and TRX option. Those three items make this car the one to own. The cars first owner was a VP at Ford according to the second owner and that may make it even more desirable because only 15 were built for Ford VIP’s. I cannot verify that this car is on of those 15 VIP cars but it may possibly be. As the story goes the original Ford VP ordered this car for his wife but forgot to check the auto trans box. She received the car and basically didn’t drive it because of the stick shift. Only 9000 miles were driven on the car before selling to the second owner in Grosse Pointe, MI. Engine, Trans, and Rear Axle: The car is in stock condition with no modifications to the engine or drive train. The 4 barrel carb has been rebuilt and operates properly with immediate throttle response. This engine runs super smooth and strong through all 5 forward gears. The clutch is nice and strong with great grip and no slip. Overall the complete drive train from engine to rear axle is like new and performs awesome. The engine compartment is all stock and still retains original factory yellow paint stamp markings, emission tags, and original Ford information decals. Body and Paint: To the best of my knowledge the only portion of the car that has been painted is the drivers rear quarter panel. The balance of the car is original and in great shape. I would recommend painting the drivers rear quarter panel properly to match the quality of the finish on the balance of the car. There isn’t any rust and the overall fit an finish is very nice. The doors, hood, and trunk all close with ease. There are a few hand painted pin stripes on the car that should rub off with ease. The passenger and drivers door jambs still retain the original Ford labels from day one. Interior: The interior looks like a new car does and shows how accurate the miles are. The dash, door panels, seats, seat backs, seat belts, gauges, steering wheel, etc. all are original and are in “as new” condition. The bottom side of the top is like new also with original factory finish. Trunk: The trunk compartment is immaculate from the bottom of the spare to the trunk lid. The car has its original spare, jack, wood fiber board cover, factory carpet(felt) mat, and lighting. There are still factory markings on the bottom side of trunk with yellow stamp and paper tag(see pics). Paperwork: The car comes with all of its original booklets from owners manuals to warranty book to tire booklet to convertible top instructions. I have a copy of the original title from 1984 with the first and second owners names on it. The car is a three owner car and has barely been driven over the past 30 years. The are a few receipts with dates and miles entered on them to verify and low actual miles. (see pics). Convertible Top: The top on this car is original and in “as new” condition. Truly a great top that fits perfect and operates with ease with its power top button. The back glass is clear as can be and like new. The car does have its original boot in the truck as well as a car cover to help preserve it for years to come. If you are able to come and see and drive this GT 350 then I urge you to make the trip to truly appreciate its original condition. If you are unable then rest assured you can bid or buy with confidence. Great car at a great price. I am selling the car “as is” because cars of this age are. I will require a $2,000 deposit with in 2 days and the balance within 7 days from end of auction. I have offered a buy it now for those of you who prefer to bypass the auction process and just make a great buy. The car appraised for $11,000 13 years ago and I am willing to take a lot less. Great deal for the thrifty collector car buyer. You can call me at 248-760-0021 to ask questions or discuss the purchase of the car. Thank you, BobOn Jun-12-14 at 07:28:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I just dropped my buy it now price to a real low number for those of you who have called and sounded serious about buying. I think at this price you cannot go wrong. Great budget collector car.
