I built this car for my grandsons to drive to high school but they showed little interest in it so I am selling it but I am not going to give it away. I have over 2000 hours in this rebuild and well over $10,000 in parts receipts not including the engine and trans. It has less than 50 miles on it since the rebuild. This is a base coupe 68 cougar that has undergone a complete rotisserie rebuild. It has all new floor sheet metal , new 2x3 frame rails, new torque boxes, all new floor braces, seat mounts, trunk floor, aprons, etc.. The only piece that was salvaged was the left front fender apron that has the VIN number stamped in it. It has all new front suspension pieces. new 2x3 cross member, new tubular upper and lower A arms. new Varishock coilover shocks , shock towers have been eliminated, . All new suspension pieces- ball, joints, sway bar, tie rod ends and even the factory power steering is all new. new BFG TA radial 215-60-15 on 15x7.5 ET Vortex wheels. the rear suspension is a 4 link with urethane bushings and Carrera coil over shocks. the rear-end has been narrow 6 inches to accommodate the 15x10 ET vortex wheels and new 295x50-15 BAFG TA Radials. the engine has been rebuilt ,bored .040 new pistons, resized rods , crank ground. It has mild hydraulic cam and lifters .480 lift- 224 dur cam and lifters. intake is aluminum Edelbrock Torquer. Heads are 68 Hipo that have been greatly massaged. Bigger 1.940 1.520 valves installed with Screw in studs. They have been extensively ported and polished by one of our local race shops. the trans is a C4 rebuilt with a shift kit. Interior has all new carpet headliner and seat covers over the stock seats. All new dash with new gauges and new complete wiring kit. replaced the vacuum head light system with electric motors.
