Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1973 VW Riviera Campmobile. It has an 1835cc motor that was rebuilt by Southern Buggies in KY, new spark plugs and new Bosch spark plug wires. Runs good. Clean Ohio title in hand. Camper top is in tact. New tires. Body is solid with minimal rust. Underneath is clean. I have the original back seat but the stove, etc, are missing. Upholstery kits for the front seats, new tail light assemblies, and new side markers are included. It's pretty much a blank slate inside. The previous owner started to build bench seats in the back but they can easily be removed. Windshield has a hole that has been poorly repaired. Needs a new steering wheel but can be driven with this one. Someone has cut a piece out of the rear left corner to pull a dent and there is a dent in the front where it looks like the spare was used to push something. It looks like it should pull out pretty easily. All in all, this is a good solid bus for a restoration or to drive as is. Seller reserves the right to end the auction at any time, bus is for sale locally. $500 non-refundable deposit through paypal is due at the end of the auction. Apparently it is even more rare than the Riviera. Thanks so much to the member who was kind enough to let me know. I've added pictures to show that it is indeed a Sportsmobile.
