Vehicle Detail

1973 Ford Mustang Convertible "No Reserve" This sweet droptop up for sale in this "No Reserve" auction is the perfect classic muscle car to be a spectacle at the local antique car shows this summer. This is one cool car to drive around and catch everyone's eye!! These 60's and 70's muscle cars have incredible investment potential, and have been referred to as rolling bank accounts. Why not enjoy your money while it works for you?? 1973 was the last year of the Mustang Convertible in the 70's!! I've always felt this is one of the finest looking muscle cars from that special era, although I'm really a Cutlass/442 guy. I acquired this sweet Mustang in a recent car deal. It was previously an Alabama car!! According to the prior owner the mileage is original at barely rolling over once, and this Mustang does have the original numbers matching Rare 351 Cleveland engine. It looks like most of the original factory decals under the hood are still present. They only come original once!! The transmission is an FMX automatic that shifts very well. I purchased this Stang from two brothers. They said this car is all completely original with only one re-paint. I scrutinized the whole car, and it appears to have all the original body panels, and I saw no signs of any accidents or body repair. It was evident to me that this is one solid original car from everything I saw. The hood is an original steel framed dual scooped hood. The doors still open and close like when this car was like new. All the windows roll up and down properly. This Silver striped Blue Glow Metallic beauty starts right up, and drives down the road straight as an arrow. This Mustang has new belts, new coil, new shocks, a new gas tank with new gas tank straps, new upper ball joints, and new dual exhaust, so this droptop will have a nice rumble for many years to come. The options include Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, Power Top, AM/FM stereo "not hooked up", and factory air conditioning. I was told this Mustang does have the original convertible top which still appears in pretty good condition. The original convertible top boot is also included inside the trunk. That is the piece of vinyl that goes over the top after the top is lowered into the well. A lot of people did not order air conditioning with a convertible top back in the day, so that's a wonderful option to have. I believe all of the air conditioning components are all hooked up, but I'm sure it's still on the old R-12 system, and I couldn't locate any of that type of Freon to give it a charge. Making the air conditioning frosty cold will be left up to the new owner if they so desire. Although, the heat does blow nice and hot. Since this Mustang was factory ordered with front disc brakes it stops very well with new disc brakes, new braking hardware, and a newer master cylinder. The title is clean and clear from the State of Wisconsin, but verifies that it was previously titled in Alabama. The two gentlemen I purchased this car from said it was always stored inside, and from everything I looked over on this car, I would tend to believe that statement to be factual. All the floor pans and the trunk are all very solid. The frame is also in very nice condition. I saw no signs of this southern car ever having any rust issues, so I truly believe that it was always well taken care of. The condition of the body speaks for itself. There is new black carpeting with a new set of four black carpeted floor mats. The high back bucket seats, and the rear seat are the Comfort weave white vinyl with no rips or tears. There are no cracks in the dash pad, and the entire luxury interior is in relatively nice condition as shown in the pictures. All four pairs of the factory seat belts are all in place. This Cool Mustang rides on a like new expensive set of four 235/60R14 inch B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A steel belted raised white lettered radial tires. These tires are the perfect size to make this Mustang sit up just right, and hold the road tight. They are mounted on Magnum 500 wheels with chrome lug nuts, all four center caps, and all four beauty trim rings. The Mustang Decoder Online Report says the rear end is a conventional 2.75:1 rear end, so it should run very nicely on the expressway at high speeds. The very nice original trunk floor was coated with similar to the factory Black and Aqua spatter spray, so it should protect the trunk nicely for many years to come. There is a new trunk mat, and inside the trunk is a full size old school ply spare tire that still holds air with a jack and crossover bar. In my opinion it would be very hard to find another 41 year old car as solid and beautiful as this one selling at no reserve. Both doors have the factory sport mirrors painted to match the body color. The chrome is all original to the best of my knowledge, and I would consider it to be good drivers quality condition or better with factory bumper guards on the rear bumper. These older classics that have survived for over 40 years are becoming harder and harder to find, especially in this unique color combination. The Nada Classic Car Price Guide that anyone can look up on-line has the 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible with the Rare 351 Cleveland engine, ram-air induction, and air conditioning valued at $41,250 in high condition, which they consider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices. $26,250 in average condition, which they consider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a 20-Footer! As shown in the pictures this Mustang Convertible is in far better condition than what they classify an average condition car, and it really does look sweet up close. They have the lowest condition value at $14,250 being considered a deteriorated restoration or a very poor restoration, but mostly usable "As-Is!" The lowest value does not represent a parts car. I believe everywhere this car is driven it will be the pride of the neighborhood. I feel confident when I say that whatever this classic Mustang sells for in this "No Reserve" auction will be a Win/Win investment. This convertible is an investment that I believe will continue to rise as these cars have shown to consistently escalate in value. Here is a prime opportunity to acquire your dream car at a nominal price. This car is for the guy or girl who had one in high school and would like to relive their youth or it would be a great car to show up at your class reunion to prove how cool you still are. I did not order the Marti Report on this awesome Ford, because I received the information breakdown from the Mustang Decoder Online results with my purchase. I've enclosed a picture of those results to prove this Mustang to be exactly what is shown. I try to list everything I can think of when I write a description, so every potential bidder can make the most informed decision prior to placing their bid. If you feel I may have left anything out please ask as many questions as you like. I pride myself in answering every question in explicit detail with the utmost honesty. What you see is exactly what you get! This classic convertible Mustang will sell to the highest bidder on Tuesday evening at 5:00pm Pacific, 7:00pm Central, or 8:00pm Eastern time depending on your location. This is a terrific Mustang to enjoy a full summer of top down cruising. I'm absolutely certain it would look stunning in anyone's driveway. Thank You for taking the time to view my auction!!! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
