This 1998 E350 Ford ex-ambulance was bought by me from my place of employment for 26 years. It was bought new by my company. It was used as a long distance transport vehicle and had VERY limited use as a front line emergency vehicle. All the crews liked it because of the good ride and excellent power. It has the venerable 7.3 Powerstroke and 4R100 transmission. I bought it 1 1/2 years ago and have slowly converted it into what is in the pictures. Some of the cabinets were removed and the cabin space opened up between the patient area and the driver area. Three captains chairs were added which brings the total seating to seven counting the bench seat (which has seat belts too). The cabinet doors were covered in Formica brand laminate in wood grain tone. The unit is prewired for a 110 volt inverter (not installed) and the interior outlets are tied to an outside shoreline plug. The side floods were retained and the flashing red side lights were converted to floods which gives a total of four floods per side. The rear upper red lights are LEDs and tied to the turn signal. The front upper amber lights are LEDs but not connected due to possible "flashback" in rain or snow. New owner can hook them up if they wish. My intentions for this vehicle were to pull our 2-horse trailer and to be able to transport family members. I since have bought a "box-type" ambulance and am converting it into a small camper to do the same. I also have another project vehicle in the works so this one has to go. It has been very dependable and started all winter without being plugged in-even down close to 0 here in PA. I have driven it back and forth to work for the past few months without a problem- 80 miles round trip. I would not be afraid to drive it cross country as it sits. It is drilled and ready for a Draw Tite hitch but none is installed. It is of course a 16 year old vehicle and while it is very good condition, it's not perfect. There are various small scratches and imperfections. As you can see the interior is in good condition for the miles and age. It is very clean for being a past fleet vehicle. Shortly before being sold it impacted a deer in the right front which dented the panel below the right headlight. The deer evidentally spun around and impacted the right side doors as there are small ripples in the bottom of the doors there as well. The right headlight was replaced. One wheel cover is missing. I will try to find a replacement and will post an update on my success. The vehicle is located at my residence in Gratz, Pa. Bidders can come and inspect it if they wish and test drive as well. I have nothing to hide; I have sold numerous vehicles on EBAY over the years and every buyer has been satisfied. The successful bidder will submit a down payment of 500.00 in 24 hours; the balance must be paid in 5 days unless other arrangements are made with me. I prefer pickup within 10 days but I am flexible.
