1983 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel, Automatic Transmission ***111,600 miles*** COLD A/C----Working Cruise Control----Power Windows----Power Locks----Power Sunroof----Power Antenna-----Original Becker Radio----Power Steering----Working Tachometer----Working Clock/Fuel Gage/Oil Pressure She runs very well and has had a very well maintained life. I have had it inspected underneath recently and there is no sign of rust. This vehicle is super solid and will make a great commuter or classic collector. I drive it only occasionally but have recently taken it on a few 250 mile trips, and she purrs right along. Some of these turbo diesels have a lot of power, and others don't. This one has a LOT of power, and drives excellent. I have recently done the following mechanical repairs: changed the master cylinder, repaired the power door locks, changed the A/C compressor and had the A/C serviced, had some of the motor mounts changed, and had it tuned up. My mechanic has looked over it and has no other recommended items that need to be looked at. Items that prevent me from listing this car as brand new: small hole or blemish in rear seat approx size of a dime ( i got a quote to have it fixed for $200. but i wanted the original seats) small tear in the rear part of the headliner that was fixed (pretty minor and it is NOT hanging down). 3 small rock chips. The surrounds around the headlights have a couple of minor cracks (not getting worse just age and are approx $100 new). The power locks work great but if you leave the car for a while and come back the drivers opens but the rest stay down (small vacuum leak, but all actuators are good). A few hairline cracks in dash (i have a dash cover) Original Stereo has one LCD pixel that is missing. Really minor but check picture of stereo. Back nets on seats missing lower plastic. Even with these small items the car is really great, and gets comments all the time, If after winning the bid and upon seeing/test driving the car if you don't want it for any reason I will return your deposit.
