Selling with NO RESERVE, this 1963 Corvette is a very original, unrestored, time capsule that runs, drives, stops, etc. It has been in clean, dry storage for many years, started and driven on occasion to keep it exercised. This car could be driven and enjoyed as is, but really should be freshened up, or given a show quality frame off restoration to create a beautiful show car trailer queen. I am offering it for sale after holding it for years, I have no plans to restore the car and don't need it as a driver. I will describe the car to the best of my ability and knowledge, but strongly suggest interested buyers inspect it in person or have a third party inspection done. Body : Has various areas needing repair from stress cracks and bumps and bruises over the years. Appears to be all original panels with exception of the upper driver side front fender which has been replaced with a GM press molded panel many years ago. Pictures will show minor repair needed in center of rear taillight panel, passenger side fender, and stress cracking on passenger top surround. Overall, a very solid body needing minimal repairs prior to paint prep. Still retains original fiberglass headlight buckets only used on 63's along with 63 specific hood with trim panels. Doors have raised bosses under door handles as 63's should have. I have stripped some of the paint from the nose since these pictures were taken with a razor blade to reveal original color GM yellow fiberglass. VIN tag is a typical factory double spot weld as seen on many 63 Corvettes. Frame & Suspension : Frame is rock solid, end caps are solid, no rust holes or rotted out areas. Unpainted so there is very very minor surface rust. Suspension is unrestored, probably has had maintenance items replaced over the cars 51 years. Engine & Transmission : Engine is special high performance 340HP, original engine with all correct components including oil pan, idler pulley, heads, valve covers, intake, carb, air cleaner, exhaust manifolds, etc. Transmission is 4-speed with Hurst Shifter. Interior : Unrestored original interior, appears to be original carpet, seat covers, etc. Has all of the correct 63 parts including dash cluster, steering column and wheel, clock, glove box door, seats, seat belts with tags, 4 piece shifter console. Tops : Red unrestored 63 hardtop with lower notch only found on 63 tops. Soft top is folded down in storage compartment, frame is nice, vinyl top is aged and needs replaced. Exterior Trim : All stainless windshield trim in place, gas door lid is 63 only roller type. Bumpers and brackets are all solid. Other Details : Includes 4 original 63 hubcaps as shown on steel wheels. Spare tire carrier is in place under car, no spare tire or jack present. Original dated radiator still present as well as the very rare master cylinder with screw cap. In summary, this is a righteous old car that hasn't been messed with over the years. With 1963 being the first year for the classic C2 body style, many parts are unique to 63 only as changes were made for the 64 and later model years. This car retains nearly every unique 63 part that should be there. I have other collector car interests that lead me to sell this car now. Selling "AS-IS", no warranty or guaranty, car is 51 years old!! I had a chance to take some pictures underneath the car while it was on my trailer today coming out of storage. The transmission is the original Muncie 4 -speed which is correct for a late 63 and has the VIN clearly stamped in it. Rear end is dated 63 as well and is coded CF which indicates a 4:56 gear, making this an extremely rare optioned car. Still retains rivited ball joints, and the unique 63 only exhaust hanger at the transmission mount, along with the original canister oil filter. Coming down to the wire, 100's of people are watching this car, someone is going to get a very cool original high performance car. Latest update. In response to some questions, I went over the body again this morning and found a few things. First, the rear quarter fender lips are very nice. The front inner fenders appear to be original and nice. The radiator support is correct 63 only with the curved reinforcements in the front. I did discover that the right front top fender corner has been spliced at the headlight and in front of the front wheel. Not sure if the upper nose panel between headlights is original or replacement. Frame is super nice, the visible birdcage up under the dash is nice a green with the factory paint. More pictures added to the link above, but it is hard to get pictures of some of this detail. I am doing everything I can to inspect and disclose items related to this car. I can only disclose what I find and what my opinion is. It is still up to the buyer to inspect in person or have it inspected on their behalf since the car is selling in "as-is" condition.
