Vehicle Detail
Offering a classic 1972 Chrysler New Yorker that a show stopper with @20,200 actual miles. THE STORY: I purchased this car @16years ago from a friend who had it in storage for over 11 years without driving it. At the time I owned a CENTURY 21® franchise and my friend thought it would be a great marketing gimmick to get people's attention being that the color of the car is gold. He told me he had purchased the car from the original purchaser, an old man that seldom drove it had had it in storage for over 12 year. When I purchased this car, it had only 10,600 miles. This vehicle had never been exposed to snow until this past year when it sat in a private driveway due to my having no where to store it after sold my warehouse building. DETAIL: The car is powered by a 440 V8, 4-barrel carburetor, automatic transmission, factory air (needs to be recharged/repaired*), 4 door hard top with an awesome gold body and tan vinyl top; power windows; 6 way power seat. 90%+/- perfect body- great survivor; The paint is very good. There are small spots of rust near the under carriage, but no holes or rust through the body. The paint is in very good and there are a few body and bumper dings on both side of the car. Front bumper seems to be off centered a bit. MECHANICAL: The car starts, runs and drive fantastic. Will need a tune-up and minor work since I have not worked on it for over 3 years, just change the motor oil every 6 months. The torqueflite shifts smoothly and downshifts as it should. The engine is very strong and does not smoke. You could fly in and drive this car anywhere, in my opinion. I would like this car to go to a home where it will be loved and cared for. Please feel free to ask questions BEFORE the auction is over. * I have a rebuilt/new air conditioning compressor and dryer units, carburetor, and original hubcaps to be included in the sale.
