Vehicle Detail
1975 BMW R90/6. This bike came from a gentleman selling off all of his projects and moving to Florida to retire. Everything was apart. The engine was together but not in the frame. The frame was repainted and everything put back together. Anything missing was replaced. The engine and frame are matching numbers with clear title. The carbs are from a R100 and were rebuilt last year. Too many new pieces to write-up, but most where small nut and bolts I purchased with a R90/6 stainless steel bolt kit. The tank and front fender show sun fading and the tank isn’t rusty. Chrome gas cap has some pitting. Rubber around the tach and speedo shows cracking. All lights and signals work. Battery is two years old and I have kept in on a slow charger off and on. Starter is slow, but I think it is the old wires, because the engine fires up with choke and a little throttle. Started today without any issues several times and works better with each run, clutch and transmission worked well. Nice clucky positive shifts. The kill switch lever’s tip end is broken, but no issues with the switch itself. I have put a few miles on it driving around the neighborhood. I like the smaller tank with the big R90 engine thumping along. Riding position is very comfortable and upright. New Dunlap tires and inter-tubes. The seat has a leather patch on the front to protect it. That is what the old gentleman said. Otherwise the seat is in great shape. Bike includes the plastic tool box which isn’t pictured, but you can see how nice the frame is with it out. Currently the bike sits in my air conditioned basement and needs to be ridden. As with any old bike there can be issues that come up and I have tried to address them here, but can’t guarantee I have covered everything. Please ask any questions and bid accordingly. I will assist your shipper in picking up the bike. If you are close, just ride it home. Good luck. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
