Vehicle Detail
1992 Dodge W-250 Cummins Turbo Diesel. Extended Cab 4x4 5-Speed Manual with a Gear Vender Overdrive unit. 174,407 actual miles. California truck since day one. This truck spent it's entire life in Riverside County, California where it doesn't even rain let alone being driven in snow and salt. It is bone dry. There is one tiny dent on the bottom of the drivers door that is VERY hard to see. I tried to show it up close in one of the pictures. Other than that, there isn't one mark on this truck. Not even one door ding. This thing deserves a new paint job! It is the 5-Speed manual Transmission with the Gear Vendor Unit. Gear Vendor's headquarters is here in Southern California so I just took the truck in and had the overdrive unit completely gone through and serviced to the tune of $250. Gear Vendor is a unit attached to the transmission that is essentially a split shift so it has another gear after 2nd,3rd,4th,and 5th gear. It takes cruising speed in this truck from 70 to 90. It's a small miracle! To go buy this GV unit, it would cost you $4800.. This rig runs like new and has almost new 33" BF Goodrich A/T tires on the old skool 16.5" steelie wheels. The motor is all stock except for a Denny T fuel pin that really wakes these trucks up. It has the rear Kelderman Firestone Airbags installed and a new heavy duty drive-shaft. There is a Detroit Locker installed in the rear end so it's full time Posi.... 4" Exhaust and a brand new $175 dollar NAPA Commercial battery. New head-liner installed as well. Of-course this isn't a new truck so let's not expect one. It has its minor issues like all of these do. Interior trim cracks and exterior paint fade. There is a little discoloration in one spot above a heater vent but no cracks in the dash. There are two tiny spots where the seams are coming apart on the seat on the driver side. You could sew these up yourself in 10 minutes. The brakes stop fine but are a little mushy. I have not had the time to have them looked at. The A/C needs a charge.. There is a hole cut out of the bed where there was an extra fuel tank installed and a battery box screwed into the bed where the spare battery for the pump was located. The hole is a little bigger than a golf ball. You can see it along with the battery box in one of the pictures. Everything on the exterior is there except for the one piece of front bumper trim on the passenger side. There is a little wiring problem going on that brings the "wait to start" and "anti-lock" dash lights on intermittently. Seems like nothing more than a loose wire connection. Other than that, there isn't much else to say about this truck. Whoever gets this thing is going to be very happy. This truck doesn't leak a drop of oil.... Put a little time and as much TLC as you see fit and this truck can be a show stopper. Shipping to anywhere in the Country will cost you $900 or less and I can assist in getting it to a terminal of your choice. Please ask any and all questions.. Thank you very much... NO RESERVE. On May-15-14 at 12:07:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Answers to questions..... The gear/axle ratio in the rear end is the 3.55 and yes it is the factory DANA/Spicer combo... Yes all the trim is on the outside of the truck and is in good shape other than a little sun fade. There are numerous different products that would make this trim shine as good as new.. I didn't have the time to have the truck professionally detailed. I imagine a buff job would do wonders to the trim and paint. I did run it through the carwash and vacuum it out. I have since found an OEM front right bumper cover so ALL the exterior pieces are on the truck, matching and in good shape..
