The Lexus RX 400h SUV has an advanced gasoline-electric drivetrain which combines the perfect marriage between luxury and utility of Lexus' RX midsize crossover vehicle with great fuel economy and performance of a hybrid. This front-wheel-drive version uses a hybrid powertrain system that combines a gasoline-fueled V6 engine with a battery pack and electric motor generators. Similar to the hybrid setups on other Toyota products, this 400h can seamlessly accelerate on battery power alone during light acceleration. It also has a generous 286 horsepower overall, giving it impressive performance along with superior fuel economy ratings. Owned by a real estate executive who commuted from Arizona to Los Angeles, most the miles are highway driven and the SUV shows very little wear both mechanically and cosmetically. Let’s take a closer look now. Exterior: The finish is 100% factory original and in amazing condition. In reality, a clean, original finish with only a few minor scratches and rock chips is a very rare and highly desirable trait of any 8-year-old, SUV! In this case, what lies beyond the shiny exterior speaks volumes about the loving care this Lexus has always received. The owner commuted from Arizona to California for work. Miles are mostly driven on the highway. Surveying the straight and smooth coachwork today, we marvel at how well the finish looks. Brand New Radials with 18” alloy wheels have amazing detail. Speaking of detail, let us stress how straight the body is, how glossy the paint: if you wouldn't know differently, you'd think to be looking at an 8-month old, not an 8-year old SUV. Inside the streamlined, modern cabin with aluminum accents are 10-way driver & passenger power leather front seats with heater controls. From the carpet to the door panels and headliner with power moonroof; everything appears untouched. Second-row sliding and reclining split rear seat optimizes passenger comfort. All VIN stickers are in place. Always garaged and never smoked in, the original, leather seats are still soft and supple. The Navigation, Dual Climate controls and multi-disk CD are all located here. Everything works and system guarantees pleasurable audio, even when traveling at speeds well above the double nickel. The full array of bright-ringed instruments all work flawlessly including a gauge detailing the hybrid's gas-electric power generation split.
