Up for sale here is a 69 convertible that is a great candidate for restoration. Before me it was last titled in 1975, I have proof. It spent many years in a barn in VA. The good: The frame is solid, very little floor board repair needed. The body also does not have alot of rust. The top works great, the power seat works also. It has a 472 engine that runs nice and does not blow any smoke. The transmission shifts fine. All of the parts are there, chrome, trim etc. The driver mirror is broken but I have a replacement. The gas tank is newThe rest:None of the windows work, the interior is bad, the dash has two cracks, the roof needs replacement. I have the door panels but they are rough.The dash vin looks to have rotted away but the vin is clearly correct on the engine block. I have been asked, what would it take to drive it home? The strut bushings, stablizer links and the sway bar bushings are bad. I have them and can help. The tires are at least 20 years old. I am waiting for the right side caliper, the left one was bad and replaced but the right was out of stock. It seems fine, but I am not sure if it drags a bit.The fellow I purchased it from drove it about 100 miles, I just don't recommend it.
