Up for auction is a 1949 Willys CJ-2 jeep. It has 673 miles on the restoration. I rebuilt this jeep from frame off restoration. Sandblasted complete frame, wheels, drivetrain. I painted every part od green for the military look. I've put on a complete new body including fenders, hood, grill and tailgate. Has new drivers seat frame, steering column, new fuel tank, wiring harness, tires, fuel can mount, all cushions and new canvas top. New windshield glass, but cracked the passenger glass when installing it. New seat safety straps to match time era, pintle hitch, brakes. Has correct transfer case with high and low range with lockout hubs. Installed time era fire extinguisher and mounted between front seats(the old solid brass type). Installed new headlight guards and grab handle for sides and back.This jeep has really been gone thru and done right. I've rebuilt the original generator(not alternator) and is all original 6 volt system. Installed old type windshield wiper that are the manual type to both sides. It has all new data plates and the numbers match. It does need a new fuel tank float. I replaced the fuel gauge but still doesn't work. Emergency brake is complete, just needs adjusted. I have invested over 11,000. just in parts for the complete rebuild and it took me a year and half to complete. I only get it out to drive on fair weather days and parades. It's a real head turner. I t does have right rear grease seal starting to go out. I reserve the right to end auction early as it is listed for sale locally. Good luck bidding!
