I bought this Honda Gold Wing Limited Edition Feb. 22, 2014 from an 82 year old gentleman here in AZ that owned the bike since Aug. 2009 NADA book value of 1985 Honda GL1200L GOLDWING LIMITED ADDATION Excellent $4,345 By no means is this bike in excellent condition I do believe it is worth somewhere between very good and excellent condition Very Good $3,035 I do not know that much about the bike other than my son that is a Honda person road it home says that the engine and transmission is stronger than his Gold Wing Aspen is. What I can tell you is that when I found the bike for sale it was for sale by an 82 year old gentleman his ad said this. “This is a great bike that needs nothing that I know of. It looks great, runs great and has loads of extra chrome and lights. It has all 3 manuals and the cover. It even has a radar detector. A computer that only the limited edition had. It was made only 2 years and is fuel injected in the LE. The limited was made in 85 and 86 only in the 1200 and were all gold. No shipping, you must pick up. I will pick you up at the airport and you can drive it home. Look at all the pics.” I must say that I was not able to check the bike out as much as I would have liked because when we picked up the bike I did not know at the time that my son was in a hurry because his wife was waiting for him to get home from work because they had an appointment to go look at a car that they were going to buy so I was forced to hurry and get the bike home so I could get him home to go look at the car. After buying the Gold Wing Limited my son and his wife totaled out her car and had to buy another car for her so she could get back and forth to work so they could not afford the Gold Wing Limited that I had bought for him. Now that they cannot afford the Honda Gold Wing Limited we have decided to put it up for sale. When I got the bike home I discovered that the turn signals did not work, so I went to work finding out what was wrong with the signals. I found that whoever installed the light bar on the back of the bike (that had blue lights on it that I do not think are legal to run on back of any bikes) and that the wiring job for the light bar did not look that good to me so I decided to take it off. I then got the turn signals working. The bike comes with the original 1984-1987 Service Manual the 1985 GL 1200 Limited Service Manual Supplement, Clymer Honda GL 1200 – Service-Repair-Maintenance Manual & the Gold Wing Road Riders Association Gold Book. I also found which is in the picture with the Manuals where the Previous owner bought an Ever Start power sport battery July 3, 2012 for the bike. Also it comes with the original Gold Wing (gold in color) bike cover and its original bag however there is a hole in the top front that could be patched easily. The Honda Gold Wing Limited Edition that was made in 1985 & 1986 had their was around 5,000 GL1200 Limited Editions made they had CFI (computerized Fuel Injection) System and Electronic Travel Computer on them.
