Vehicle Detail
This is a re-listing of the car (for those who thinks it looks familiar). Ebay took down the site because it was against policy to include an off-site website I had created for pictures, so I apologize. I have tried to include as many different pictures as they would allow. I have been a PCA member since 2006 and this car has won 3rd place - twice in National Parade concours events (in 08' and 11'). I drive this car every chance I get and it is not a showroom quality car. It is a superior daily driver that looks and handles like new. There is less than 6000 miles on the engine tune-up and a new fuel tank. There are a few minor issues that can be dealt with rather quickly. The oil gauge light is out, the clock doesn't work and the turn signal rubber handle is broken on the end. The previous owner put in a "short shift" gear box with a shortened shifter, so that might be different than what most are used to. The clutch is tight and the brakes are excellent. There are a few minor chips on the front spoiler from driving the roads but I will include some touch-up paint if you would like. According to my mechanic, the engine and chassis numbers are matching, though cannot be verified until COA is ordered. I am the second owner and purchased the car 7 years ago from my family mechanic in Wilmington NC (my dad has had Porsches all my life). I wax the car twice a year and give it a bath as often as needed. I love this car and I know you will too. I will take Paypal as the deposit and full payment if it is easier for you, but a cashiers check would be preferable. I hope you can come visit and drive the car before bidding but I understand if that is impossible. Please do not bid if you are not going to purchase the car, it looks bad and deters others from bidding. I am a public school math teacher and need the extra money this will bring. Please ask me any questions, I want you to have no surprises or remorse. This is an excellent 1972 911 and I know whomever gets this car will love it as much as I have. Thanks for considering this auction. Please call me if you have any questions at (828) 539-0310. Leave a message and I will return your call asap. On Apr-17-14 at 15:54:54 PDT, seller added the following information: As an added bonus to the lucky buyer. I have just found hidden in all the records, the original bill of sale (8700$), both original antennae keys, original manual, all original Blaupunkt radio manuals, and even have the original assembly line bunch card (super rare) with matching VIN # as each builder in Stuttgart added their piece(s) to this car. A buyer asked me a good question..."What is the biggest concern or dislike you have for the car?" I responded that I do not like how the passenger door closes. It is a new hinge and very tight. You have to close the door much harder than on the driver's side "smooth close." It is a new hinge and has <100 closes on it compared to 40+ years on the driver side. It will get better with time but currently it is tight. I do not want buyers remorse or any surprises. This is a 42 year old car and an excellent early model 911 daily driver. It looks good sitting in the garage, but is stunning when on the road. Bid with confidence and enjoy this classic!!!
