I'm selling my 1977 Honda CB 550 with only 7,300 original miles! Just tuned her up...fresh oil, oil filter/seals, new spark plugs, new battery, and flushed/rebled front brake...squeaks a little. Carbs were removed, cleaned, set and synched. Valves adjusted, points and timing set to factory specs. Drive chain lubed and adjusted. Compression tested 150 psi on all 4 cylinders. Kick and electric start and everything works great! Front turn signals were cut off. Chrome on the fenders and rims is very bright. The gas tank and side covers are the original paint. The gas tank has NO DENTS and is perfect inside. It does have scratches you'd expect to see on a 37 year old bike! The side covers are not cracked. The right side cover is a little warped on the top but is functional. This is a very early 1977 CB550K. The manufacture date is 9/76. FRAME # CB550K-2009692. ENGINE# CB550E-2009393. Matching numbers for a Honda. You can see the original factory yellow locktight on some of the nuts! Digital photos are flattering....The bike could use a GOOD CLEANING! The tires have great tread left on them but they are dry and cracked...They are no good and they will have to be replaced. Rims and spokes are very nice though! The seat has a tear in it as you can see. The original factory manual is still under the seat. These models are a little cold blooded, but 1 minute with the choke on and she warms up nicely!
