Up for auction is my 1983 Honda CR 250. I bought this bike with the intention of vintage racing but then I ended up getting a slightly newer Honda 250 so I never raced or rode this one, only the occasional pass up and down the street. She has been sitting for the last 6 years in my garage. I had one of these "back in the day" and I always liked these bikes. Left side kick start, right side chain and cobby looks compared to the later Honda's. The classic orange-red plastic and blue seat was not only a fashion statement but the beginning of the Honda dominance of the 80's! OK, enough of the nostalgia, I just cleaned the carb and she started right up after not having touched the bike since 2010. If you want to ride or race this bike it will need some minor attention. Good news is that she is all there, tight, no coolant ever leaked while I owned it and the motor is crisp. The guy I bought it from was more of a tinkerer than a rider. I believe it had a new top end before I bought it. I am the 3rd owner. The first 2 owners just trail rode the bike, all plastic, except the shrouds, is original (seat cover was changed). The paint wear on the frame is minimal and the silencer is original as well as the pipe which is in great shape. I had David Bailey sign the shrouds so that is a nice little bonus. The bike is pretty much stock, I did change the bars to Renthal's and I put on a Gunnar Gasser replica throttle. Please ask any questions. All sales final.
